Jason X “Uber” Hock Available

Yes, this is for all of you completist collectors out there that must own any and all hocks associated with the franchise. I know that there are a number of our visitors that absolutely despise Jason X, period. Others like the first hour and then despise Uber Jason and his look. However, I had no problems with the movie outside of the score. I wish Harry would have blown us away with his score, but this was the only time it felt rushed. Anyways, I love this mask and Fiberglassmasks.com is now offering the “Uber” hockey mask for anyone that is interested. I know that Jason X has its fans and they would love to own this awesome mask. Beware The Hideous Looking Man

I saw this last month and completely forgot to mention this to everyone. Crash Cunningham offered his first run of his Part 3 “Hideous Looking Man” for purchase in February and sold out very fast. For those of you that did not see this mask previously, check out the pics below. The mask sold for $270 and I am sure he will having a second run of these at some point. Jason X, Kane Hodder Face Cast Sold On eBay

I just saw this listed late last night on eBay and not more than a few minutes after I viewed it, someone swooped in and made the purchase. I did not have the cash to buy myself, but I think this would be an awesome piece of the film to own. The piece sold for $350 to some lucky fan out there. A little history on the cast is described below.

Rare hydro cal/plaster face cast of Kane Hodder from Jason X. This is a 100% authentic face cast of Kane Hodders face when he was in makeup on set of Jason X. The only other one in existence was sold by me and was pulled from silicone …I was keeping this for myself but hard times have hit and it must go. It came from a friend who works with the special effects company here in Toronto that is responsible for the makeup of Kane and the special fx on the movie which was filmed here.

Terrordrome Game Update: New Undead Jason Character Added

At the very beginning of the year we told you about the awesome, in-progress, fan video game Terrordrome. This game pits all of the horror/slasher legends against each other in a Mortal Kombat type of situation. There is lots of violence and mayhem. And yes, there will be blood. There has not been any news lately on the progress of the game, until now.

The creators just recently finalized two new characters for the game, Candyman and Undead Jason. Here is what they have to say about the newest Jason character:

Jason will be more based upon his strength, powerful attacks and ability to heal and endure from hits. No double mode for him yet. His attacks will feature many other weapons than the machete.

1/4 Scale The Final Chapter Bust

This bust was posted at the Night Owl Pro forum recently and it looks fantastic. I love the paint job and I always love when a sufficient amount of blood is used for the axe wound. What makes the piece really stand out is the display base that was created for the bust. The Camp Crystal Lake sign is a perfect accent to the bust and makes this overall display worthy and would be a nice piece to brag about to friends.

I do know of a sculpt and paint job that will rival and possibly be better than this bust. Details on that will be showing up here at the website soon. So, look out for that. In the mean time, check out pics of this amazing Ryan Beal sculpted bust below that was painted by Travis at Night Owl.

Friday the 13th and Horror Artist Joel Robinson

Site visitor “the buster” attended the Monster Mania convention this past weekend and met artist Joel Robinson. Joel is a horror and comic book artist that works as a staff artist for Horror Hound magazine and designs posters for horror conventions, such as Scarefest, which was featured here last year by Tony Carroll. Joel has some great Jason Voorhees portraitures from a number of movies from the Friday the 13th series.

He can be found at a number of conventions throughout the year and he mentioned this past weekend at Monster Mania that he will be at Camp Blood: Friday the 30th reunion in August. 30 Years of Fear T-Shirt and Poster Review

I was going to post a video of this for my Saturday Review Video, but I am having some issues with YouTube right now. So, I took some pictures of the shirt that I recieved. I know that those of you that ordered the T-shirt have been waiting patiently to recieve your order in the mail. You will not be disappointed when you finally do receive it. The shirt and poster are awesome. There is great detail on the shirt and do not worry about a cheap ink pressing as this will last you a very long time.

In the middle of the shirt, there is a slight color variation between the poster and the shirt, mainly on the Jason and Alice characters. This is probably due to the simple differences of material the art design was printed on. It still looks great and am sure everyone will be proud to own these items. My camera is pretty grainy, so my pictures are not the best, but still check out the pictures below and see the poster in the last picture.

Darkside Studios Drowned Ghoul 2 On Auction

If you’re looking for a fairly accurate rendition of Jason from The New Blood, then check out the auction for the Drowned Ghoul 2. The seller states that the mask is a prototype version and is very heavy. Also, the mask is uncut, hence not a wearable item. I have seen slightly more accurate masks, but you might be able to get this at a low price if the auction goes your way. Good luck to those who are interested!

THIS CONCEPT JASON WAS A COMMISSION AND WILL NOT BE FOR SALE. THERE ARE PLANS FOR ACCESSORIES AND A VICTIM.

These photos are of the early stages of One’s Customs’ new Concept Jason. The Hock pictured in the image is not the mask that will be included with the figure. I believe it was being used for reference. Check out the skull showing through in some of the pics. He does mention that not as much of the skull will be visible in the final product.

We will keep you guys informed when this is completed as his last concept Jason was truly awesome! Check out his Youtube Channel to follow all of his work and watch for his new website in development, coming soon.

New York Subway Map Reminiscent of Jason Takes Manhattan Poster

I saw this the other day and I was struck by how detailed the work was. This original work has Jason hand painted on top of an actual New York City Subway Map. Of course, this looks a lot like the banned Jason Takes Manhatan poster with Jason ripping through the I Love New York Logo. His auctions have gone up steadily in price for these figures and fans of the series probably have grown frustrated over that fact. So, I have been getting a lot of requests to review any and all items from the Friday the 13th series. Some items I own and some I do not. After thinking about it, Saturdays tend to be a dead zone for news in motion picture circles, so why not do a video review of a certain item in the Friday the 13th franchise every Saturday. “Black 7″ The Most Accurate Part 7 Replica Hock Ever Produced?

When I saw this mask, I could not believe it was a replica. It blew my mind. While I was busy gathering interviews for the website the past week, the word has been spreading about this new hock and I am sad I missed out on it’s initial announcement last week.

For those who are looking for a completely screen accurate hockey mask from The New Blood, I would say look no further. This replica was made from a cast of one of the screen used masks from the movie. So, you can’t get much more exact in terms of mask size than that. Each mask will be cast in red plastic to ensure they are not mistaken as the actual screen used hock and will be painted to match the exact look from the movie. Sideshow Collectible Jason Voorhees Video Review

These were all released starting around 6 years ago and have become huge collectors items on the www. They can average around $150 a piece and maybe more if you have the exclusive version of the figure. Those exclusive versions had a limited run and included extra pieces in the package.

I did own the Part 2 Jason at one point as I got it as part of a trade for another item. I sold it eventually as I, personally, can’t see owning something that seems like a doll and doesn’t look as screen accurate as some of the 7 inch figures that have been released. At any rate, check out this video review of the collectibles by Chris, posted at his ccg1171 Youtube channel, and see what all of the madness is about. He is missing the Freddy vs Jason in this video, but I think he has a seperate video for that figure.

Jason Voorhees 18″ Killer Cut Edition

I own the 18″ Jason Voorhees last was released last year and it is one of my all time favorite figures ever for the franchise. However, the one gripe have, as do a lot of other fans, is that the long hair is attached to the straps of the hockey mask. So, when the hockey mask is removed from the head, Jason essentially loses most of his hair. (Insert Joke Here)

Well, now Art of Toys has gone ahead and fixed that. Basically, they have taken the Neca 18″ figure and added to it to create the definitive Reboot Jason Voorhees. They completely resculpted the head, adding more detail in the eye and mouth area. The head has been reshaped and actual strands of hair have been added to give the figure a more realistic look. Also, blood splatter and weathering have been added to the figure and machete.

Toy Fair 2010 Offers New Mezitz Classic Jason Figure

We haven’t been covering the 2010 Toy Fair at all this year as well, there hasn’t been any Jason Voorhees figures to mention. That has changed now as Mezco unveiled their Mezitz classic style Jason Voorhees figure yesterday. Check out the pic below and lets hope we see a few more Jason figures announced before the end of the fair this week! Namely, the Jason Statue being created by Sideshow Collectibles!

Special Screening “A New Beginning” Poster

We are always on the lookout for new, rare or unusual marketing and promotional items for Friday the 13th. So, this poster was found recently on eBay and uses the silhouette from the Part 2 poster as the backdrop. I also like that the Roy hock is being held in the hand instead of the axe that is normally there. Here is how the poter came to be.

Friday The 13th, Part V: A New Beginning one sheet poster 27″ X 40″. This was originally produced for a 2008 screening of Friday The 13th, Part V: A New Beginning. These were limited to only a handful – most were given out at the screening, and a few were sold off on Ebay in the past. This is from the second printing we had done for a 2009 toy show we attended. These were limited to 50 prints. Super RARE – displays beautifully!
