i guess i’ve been hearing this talk of a new shot of that kill that will be on the next edition, and what we got was so minimal, i forgot we even got anything.

on what edition? i just checked on my killer extras on the boxset…it’s not in there. where you would expect it, it goes right to the alternate ending.

…Oh yeah, and I even explained how Jason got lower right side of his mask broken off. In my fan edit, it happens after he kills that guy who is driving the motor home from Part 6. You know, the guy who’s girlfriend get he face impaled in the sheet metal of the vehicle? After the car crashes, I have a scene where Jason emerges with a broken mask. After that, all of the deaths that occur in my movie are from Part VII (where Jason’s mask is broken). So as you can see, my fan edit covers all the bases and is pretty flawless. I will post it soon.

I made a fan edit of Part VII. I in reinserted all of the deleted gore from the workprint and as a bonus I added other kill scenes from other Friday the 13th Part 6 too. I like a lot of kills in my movie and CJ Graham’s Jason from Part 6 is a lot like Kane Hodder’s in Part 7. You can interchange a lot of the scenesinto one film because those two movies already look so similar (and so does Jason). Yeah, my version of Part VII begins with Tina resurrecting Jason. After she passes out I flash forward to the next morning where Jason hunts down and kills some people who are paintballing in the woods. By the time the movie is over, Jason has killed over 20 people. It’s amazing!

getting excited for parts 7 and 8 deluxe editions it’s just too bad part 7 wont have the inserted gore back into the film that is the only movie where the kills bug me

also will part 7 also have the same kill scenes from the directors videotape as in the box set hopefully without the commentary this time

also i would love to see stan winston’s jason deleted scenes from part 3 some day

If Paramount would lie about My Bloody Valentine, how do we know they wouldn’t lie about Friday the 13th?

I don’t believe one word of that interview. Paramount also said that the cut footage from My Bloody Valentine was lost, destroyed and so on… But as soon as Lions Gate got the rights to it, it was released uncut. Even the co-producer of MBV (John Dunning) confirmed that the cut footage still existed, and Paramount still refused to release an uncut version. hey that’s not too bad…although that VHS stuff looks awful. i’m sure the pros can do quite a bit to improve on it with their million dollar software, though & i’m POSITIVE it’s not the only VHS workprint of pt 7 in existence…this one looks like it’s taped in EP and has been through hell over the years.

hell, look at the footage form part 6 on the new edition. that’s worthy of being edited back in and it’s from a VHS workprint.

I think that a lot of guys here are trapped in the world of their horror fiction. The vaults at Paramount are not lined with stone bricks and gothic crosses. There are no spider webs or bones that are lining the floors either. Danniel Farrands did not venture down them with a torch in his hand to light the way. He simply showed up on the Paramount lot in Hollywood, CA with his Starbuck coffee in hand and was directed to the corner of the office where all of this stuff was. Then he got paid for what he did and to make it sound adventurous he started using words like “vaults” instead of “storage offices” to make it sound like something from an Indiana Jones movie. He effectively made opening a filing cabinet that was labeled “Friday the 13th archives” sound like the discovery of the crystal skull…when in reality, he was probably just pointed in the right direction by the secretary of Paramount’s air-conditioned storage office.

Yeah, he did say he even went through all the logbooks personally in the vaults, which tells you what aisle/row boxes are stored in. I’m sure he wouldn’t see a listing for “friday the 13th part II” and ignore it because he wasn’t hired to work on that dvd. I’m sure that everything existing in the vaults has indeed been found and ,if anything was found for the first three, it’s being saved for a future release.

…which will probably be years in the future. i doubt they’ll put much on the next boxset that isn’t on these. they surely won’t put a director’s cut of anything. …but we can always hope for part 2 & 3 slashed scenes.

this is a little off topic, but anyone notice the slashed scenes on the part 6 deluxe edition are slightly different in certain spots than what was on the boxset? it seems like it was from a better edited copy. so it would seem tom mcloughlin gave dan farrands something different than what he gave the guys for the boxset? how many workprints are there? is there an even better one?

there were rumors of a lot of things in that movie we’re still not seeing…and it was said that 3 versions of each kill were shot – least graphic to most graphic. which have we seen?

I don’t imagine the vaults at Paramount to be very disorganized. The archives for Friday the 13th Part 3 were probably right next to the stuff Daniel Farrands found for The Final Chapter. I’m sure that if anything exists for the first three films, Daniel Farrands knows about it and it will show up on the next major re-releases of the films on DVD.

Why should we believe anything Daniel Farrands said about cut footage? He basically works for Paramount.
