David Kagen (Sheriff Garis) Talks Jason Lives
Back in June, when the last three Deluxe Edition Friday the 13th DVD’s were ready for release, David Kagen was talking Jason Lives. Dread Central posted his thoughts on the movie and the franchise.
“One funny thing that did happen during our takes was at the point where I am supposed to crush Jason’s head with a rock,” Kagen said. “We had been using wind machines because of the storm going on around us and the rock I was using was made out of Styrofoam. So during one of the best takes, I hit Jason, throw the rock down and instead of staying put, the rock starts to blow away. Needless to say, that take wasn’t used in the movie.”

I have not read the whole interview but that’s hilarious about the rock. Would be great for blooper reels.

I would say Jason Lives is one of the better ones in the entire franchise. That was funny about the rock. I’ve always liked the character and Kagen’s performance.
STILL no word of when 4, 5 & 6 will get the Blu-Ray treatment???
There is no word on the Blu-Ray for Part 4, Part 5 or Part 6 yet.

i love jason lives and i think they had the best all around characters in the whole franchise,the whole look of the movie is cool,definatly a classic,and sherriff garis is def my favorite cop in any friday movie nice find jasonsfury
Part six is also one of my favorite in the franchise. I still think its awesome that Kaegan, Thom Matthews, and Darcy Demoss are all going to be at the 30th reunion.

sorry i hated jason zombie…sue me but that\’s just my opinion,the movie as i always say on here was over-lit too.
I hear ya Rocky….I love Parts 1-4, after that it changed.
Funny story. And Darcy was a hottie
