Hell, if the director of part 7 is offering to do it for free, then there’s no reason why paramount shouldn’t release an unrated version. I think part 7 would benefit the most from being uncut.

Friday Part 7 the New Blood needs an unrated version more than any of the others. It was the most censored… and there’s no telling how much better the movie would be if it were uncut. The director from part 7 said in an interview that he would be willing to work on an uncut version for free if the film studio wanted.

Does anyone know what the aspect ratio of the deluxe editions is going to be? Are they 2.35:1 or 1.85:1? I would rather have 2.35:1. Because alot of times with the 1.85:1 they don’t remaster from the original negatives, they just take the old full screen versions they already have and crop the bottoms off to make the fit. When that happens you don’t get more of the picture on the sides, you just end up with even less of the bottom of the screen.

If the uncut version of part 1 is the same as the European version (with the extended death scenes), it’s only going to be about 45 seconds longer.

Uh… has NO ONE noticed that both the DVD art and the info on Amazon list the UNCUT version with a running time of 95 minutes – EXACTLY THE SAME AS THE FIRST DVD RELEASE?

The problem with this box set is…why the hell the final chapter is not included when that movie origanlly finished off the series? Next, why is all 3 of these going to be lacking extras again just like the orignal box set? Third..why are 2 and 3 not uncut? I mean people think about it….what in the hell do they plan to do with the orignal series? Are they just going to put out a uncut version of a different movie every time they make another sequel? This is where the first box went wrong…and i’m afraid that this is also going to be a dissapointment too on 2 and 3 behalf. Then fans like myself is going to be bitching again because Paramount is just going to dig this issue deeper into a hole to where if they finally actually do release all uncut. Nobody is going to want it because they dragged ass it soo long. I think they just need to do this once and be done with the issue and move on to something else for us like the Nightmare on Elm Street series or the Halloween series.

Regarding the question as to whether Paul is killed by Jason or not – I think it was in Crystal Lake Memories, but at the end of the film when Ginnie asks, “Where’s Paul?” the intention was to have a slow track into the decapitated head of Mrs. Voorhees, who winks at the camera. I guess Paul was somehow killed Pamela Voorhees’s severed head. However, the effect looked so bad they cut it out.

I’m in the UK and I can’t wait for the Blu Ray editions in Feb! I was just about to post that myself….I will have to double up on prt 3 though if the 3D isn’t supported on the prt 3 BluRay. Can’t wait to watch that badboy in 3D!!!
