they always hipe up the un-cut release of this movie thats been chpped up so many times that its not scearry anymore ,the first time they released it lots of pts were missing ,then they re-released it with extra footage but still pts were missing then they re-release it in a box set still pts were missing then they let it out on bluray still pts were missing>>??? they are sure slashing the customers pockets with bllod with all these releses,and yet pts are still missingso please stop lying to the people , all the real stuff got lost or detroyed there is no more uncut pts left so stop waiting money$$$$$

I agree that it’s the rest of the series that really needs to be released uncut and full of extras, but if that’s going to happen it has to start somewhere.

Here’s hoping that this is only “The New Beginning” of GOOD, COMPREHENSIVE, IN-DEPTH, UNCUT, 2 disc versions of the whole F13 series that will not insult our intelligence any further. After the wait, and the disapointing boxed set, I sometimes wonder why i’ve remained a fan for so long. But i’ve been a fan of Jason and F13, not Paramount. I really hope they make amends with this. Personally i’d pay a high price for the whole series done right. ( Which would make it the 4th time i’ve bought these movies, but also the last.”

Right on, DLC. I also buy’em cause of the legendary Slasher icon that is Jason; not the Cashamount prick bastards.

I’m also hoping that, within the next two years cause of the 30th anniversary of Part 1 comin’ up, that maybe we’ll see a proper boxset done right for the LAST and FINAL double-dipping form them. *crosses figners*

I have both the international cut and the official japanese verion on VCD. You are only talking about 2-3 seconds of extra footage.

Paramount are trying to make themselves look like the good guys, but this version has been avaiable for years…

who cares about an uncut first friday, we have all seen the extras online at some point. i know that its useless to wish for the others to be uncut, but we can always pray.
besides, its the movies with jason in it that we actually want to see uncut, cause he did the best killings.

while wondering on a flash game site, i found a friday the 13th point and click game. its a little lame, but being a friday fan, you atleast have to try it :P

If I’m not mistaken, the only footage that Hodder has from Part VII is the VHS tape that he used to take around with him, which had been played over and over again. Even if the tape were in pristine condition, I don’t see how it could have been transferred from VHS and have been remotely useful.

Buechler told me via email several years ago that the original footage should still exist in “the vault” (at least, I think that’s the terminology he used) at Paramount. He also said that he would be willing to re-cut the film for a “Director’s Cut.”

If Kane’s tape of the footage is the only form that it’s available in, it would be safe to say that there’s no reason to even hope for an uncut TNB.

I still don’t understand why Paramount would just throw film away. Of course, I don’t understand a lot of the things that Paramount has done over the years.

If only they’d think about this sooner, before all of the footage got ruined. One time they even said they’re ashamed of owning the series, and now you know why.
