Hello jason fans.I\\\’m 32 years old and is addicted to all of the jason films.in his earlier films,jasonset traps and he chased his prey.as far as the new film it looks very good,but I do agree jason is running to much.and he should\\\’ve have been zobie jason,rather then himself now.

Well.. let me start off by saying I remember going to the actual movie theater to see the first Friday the 13th (yes, I’m old) and have followed the series ever since.
I had mixed feelings when I saw they were doing a remake.. I really wanted to feel excited about it but somehow knew that they would probably drop the ball. When I saw the name Michael Bay associated with it I knew it was all over. Can you say “Armageddon” or “Pearl Harbor”?

Now.. as far as this whole Jason running debate.. Jason is NOT a runner, period. At least nothing like the running exhibited in the new trailer.
As we all know, Jason wasn’t the killer in part 1.
In part 2 you could debate the whole “running” thing. It was more like an out-of-breath jog (imagine Fankenstein chasing someone).
In part 3 there was the scene of him running out of the cabin at the end.. this was a dream sequence!!
Jason does not run.. he power-walks at best.
The new look of Jason is not favorable to most die hard fans. Why they didn’t keep the look similar is beyond me. At least the remake of My Bloody Valentine doesn’t stay too far.. and it’s in 3D!
Maybe if this Friday the 13th remake was in true 3D (not the red and blue glasses crap) I might give it a go. As for now I’ll probably just download a divx rip to see how they bastardize it.

like i said the remake looks awesome, but with the whole debate with jason running. he was awesome when he was a human however i loved it alot better when he was dead. it makes him different from any other killer. well him and michael are different. basically they’re the two you dont want to mess with. basically they killed jason right, then he was resurrected right, so any other jason movie that is a sequel that isnt a remake should have him as a zombie. because you can go a whole lot farther into the movie with jason being zombie. he can stand a lot more stuff. lets face it if jason wasnt zombie in freddy vs jason he would’ve had a hell of a hard time kicking freddy’s ass. besides when he gets hurt as a human he grunts. which i dont agree with at all like i said him and michael are set apart from any other murderer. im not dissing on any jason movie but if they’re going to make a sequel make him be zombie. and think of it this way, if he drowned as a boy, then when he came back shouldnt he already be zombie and supernatural? yes.

Actually lespaul avenger, Jason did run a bit in Part 4. Up the stairs after Trish (think that was her name in the movie), and alot of other spots in the final chase sequences. Yes, I’m one of the old school horror geeks who has been sorely missing the Jason of parts 2-4 (though I enjoyed 6 and some segments of 7). Never really cared much for the hulking Hodder/Jason, glad to see they are going back to the original look. I don’t know about the rest of you, but I was glad to hear the original music score, too. Now if they just don’t show Jason alot (until the end), and build up the creepy factor like the originals did, they I know I’ll be a happy camper. No pun intended…

I just know that in part two, when she (Amy Steel) said “There is someone in here…There is someone else in here!” To Paul, and Jason tackles at him, (towards the end) I damn near pissed a little. REALLY creepy.
All I’m saying is this isn’t a sequel. Yes, some major aspects of Jason should remain, but hair, no hair, what color shirt, does he wear boots or rollerblades… Does it matter that much? Okay, I’m being a bit sarcastic, but this is a NEW movie, and I’m keeping an open mind. Don’t want a carbon copy or I’d just watch my collection all over again for the thousandth time.

hey splitskull in part3 there was only one running scene but in part4 there was no running at all.but hey buddy i agree jason did set traps in part 2 and did punch his hand through the stairs but i got to say im not crazy about the new look or that he has hair after part2 jason never should have had hair again and i dont like him running what do you guys think
