But once I read Crystal Lake Memories I lost all respect for him. In the process of each film Kane's ego grew more by the time it reached 'Jason goes to hell'. Kane was trying to tell the other actor how to mimic his movements. When it came to that one side can say he was trying to keep continuity and have it match up. While it can also be argue that he was trying to tell others what to do. I believe the only person who didn't listen to Hodder was Richard Gant. In my opinion Steve Dash, Richard Brooker ,Ted White,and C.J. Graham all out class Kane Hodder. As Jay pointed out I too felt Kane felt he had an entitlement to play Jason. That is what turns me off the most with him. Kane only played him four times and gets this ego that only he can play it WRONG! As stated out above there are no entitlements in hollywood. In fact Ken's work as Jason in FvJ was what sparked my respect for the franchise. Before the vs film when saw the jason films I viewed them as copying Michael Myers. Now i've been a Jason fan ever since as for replacing Kane with Ken. I believe the reason Ronny Yu picked Ken was so to level the playing field. Kane is really bulky and muscular,while Robert is short and skinny. The film had to look like either could win in the fight, if Kane was in the film movie goers who knew nothing about friday the 13th. Would be going 'oh Jason's gonna mop the floor with Freddy'. Granted i'm more of a Jason fan than a freddy fan,but in the outcome I say Jason won the fight. i’m in the middle of the road here on this book I use to be a fan of Kane Hodder. In the final act of Part 3, when Chris's van is stuck on the bridge, Jason is running, albeit with a limp. And in Part 4 when Jason is chasing after Trish between the two houses when she's distracting him so Tommy can leave, he's running after her. But, in Part 3 and Part 4, Jason does run.
