I know the 3D thing is being overused right now, but I’m down with seeing any of my horror-heroes in 3D.

Thats great news. I dont completely blame Adam Marcus for taking Jason out of part 9. I believe it was Sean Cunninghams idea. According to Adam Marcus, Sean Cunningham said take the damm hockey mask out of the film, whatever it takes to get that damm hockey mask out of the film, thats what You do. Im glad to see the TCM franchise is back on track. Next to Jason, Leatherface is my second favorite icon in horror. Plus I love the idea of connecting it to the original film. The first TCM is and will always be the best one. I would like to see Gunnar Hansen (Leatherface 1974) or Andrew Bryanarski (TCM 2024, TCM: The Beginning) reprise the role as Leatherface. Either way Im excited.

Maybe we will see what actually happened to Sally Hardesty…I still say thats her on the gurney at the end of TCM: Next Generation when Rene Zellweger and that blonde lady make eye contact at the very end in the hospital. It would be a nice tie in. I know the narrorator had said Sally sunk into catatonia but who knows.

I’m stoked for this…Yes, I agree…bring back the Sawyers. Glad to hear it takes place right after the original but flash forwards 35 years later??? It obviously wouldn’t be Bubba Sawyer from 1-4 then would it? I’m guessing another clan member becomes the new leatherface or something? Either way I’m glad to hear Adam Marcus has his hands on the Saw so to speak. When’s the supposed release date? Of course Jim Seidow has passed so it will be sad to not have him back.

Ok I like that a new “Chainsaw Massacre” is comeing out but lets be honest. The NAME is HORRIBLE. Leatherface 3d? I mean Seriously??? and How in the hell is this a sequal to the 2024 series but yet takes place after 1974? The problem is NOONE likes 3D and everyone bitches about it but they dont stop going to see these stupid films. If you hate 3D stop going then maybe when Studios are going bankrupt for making stupid films that nobody wants to see or forcing this 3D shit on us then Maybe they will Learn. 3D is not going to add anything or make the movie more Fun no matter what the producers or writers say. They do it because they know thier movie is gonna do bad so they force you to see it 3D so you HAVE to pay. Stop seeing 3D movies and eventually Studios will learn. I’ve seen 2 3D movies and never will again because it doesnt add or do anything to the movie

Great news, I loved Jason Goes to Hell. I wonder if Kane Hodder will be cast as Leatherface. I hope he gives it a really good feeling cause I hated the style and look of TCM: The Begginning but I loved the night scenes in the remake, it hard this blue texture to it and I’d like to see that look.

Normally, I would agree with Vin Broccoli, but Jason Goes to Hell is an exceptional film-with or without Jason. Even if you hate the film for that reason, because Jason himself is largely absent from it, go back and re-watch the movie and pay close attention to the production values. Adam Marcus helped write one of the most clever sequels in the series. Its only drawback (and it is a big one for me) is that Jason is a body hopping demon sans hockey mask. Take a look at the characters and the direction: Creighton Duke is a classic badass with some of the best dialogue; Steven Freeman was truly a flawed but likable hero; Joey B. was funny as hell…and don’t forget the action set pieces! If Adam Marcus is handling the writing and directing of Leatherface 3D then I’m on board with fingers crossed. Bring on the chainsaw!

However, at the same time I don’t understand why a writer/director that created one piece of crap ages ago is given the ability to relaunch this franchise. The last 2 films were huge hits. This seems like a downgrade. What are his credentials other than JGTH? Same with Todd Farmer and Halloween. Why are bottom of the barrel writers controlling our horror icons?

Oh man! I’m all for this. I know some people hate Jason Goes To Hell, But I liked it and I love The Texas Chainsaw Massacre movies. I think this will be a good movie! Leatherface 3D…Pretty cool.
