part 4 Jason was the creepiest Jason EVER! Ted White…..one of the greatest stuntmen ever. Who really cares what this new Jason will look like UNDER the mask? As long as the mask lives up to parts 3,4,& 6. His clothes really don’t matter as long as they are covered in blood….lots of blood. We all really know why we watch Jason…..nekkid chicks and drugs.

How can anyone say what he wears doesnt matter.. In the secont one ( when u first see Jason _ he’s wearing overalls …but later on his wardrob gets better and more grungy and disgusting. It all starts with the Hockey Mask ( his trademark ) but the most importaint thing of all …his size….in part two he was little but later on he beefed up to be more of a huge intimdating monster. I hope they make him the large Unstoppable killer like in parts 3 – up ….

I read an interview with Derek Mears about how Jason will look, so here’s the real deal so you all won’t have to guess anymore. He wears a torn up button down shirt, a weathered military jacket, dark pants, and combat boots. As for his features, he has long fingernails, a lumpy head, a droopy eye, and wears prosthetics from the waist up. Enjoy!

When I watch the film, then I will comment on Derek Mears, much like I did with Tyler Mane when he was casted as Michael Myers in the Halloween remake….

This is from the casting call:

“JASON VOORHEES: Caucasian, fair complexion, Late 20’s, Early 30’s, stunt man. He is thin, lean, and cut from living off the land and residing in the forest around Crystal Lake…”

So it looks like a beefy Jason is out. Something reminiscent of Parts 3 & 4 would be nice. Not sure how they’re going to pull off the “thin, lean, cut” look though. He’ll probably look like the Tall Man from Phantasm with a hockey mask.

if I recall part 5 was a someone posing as Jason, some wack job was a Jason wannabe. the scenes from part 3 & part 1 and maybe 2 would be best, all other scenes from the other movies were sucking monkey butt..

I hafta say that the Final Chapter look would be my favorite. There was just something about it that gives me chills every time in think of it (i.e. when he is creeping behind Trish on the porch) and I can\’t help but still remember how horrific the scenes from part V when he is looking at Tommy through the window, when he appears behind him in the mirror, and at the foot of the hospital bed. I don\’t see any way they could consider making him look any different. I absolutely hate the New Line look. Complete rubbish IMO.

Jason should look like he did in parts three or four. Hands down, Savini’s Jason in “the final chapter” was the best. Alot of other great Jason looks(except the face of part 8)but I feel the deformed look while he is still human works the best. Just have him be ruthless, dirty, and the kills be gory & realistic, and we’ll all be fine!

I ultimately think that when reimagining Jason Voorhees, when it comes to the story but also the look, I expect something new but at the same time old. With Nispel behind the camera, I expect it to have a heavy sense of the real world alot lot like the vibe of Texas Chainsaw Remake, it was centered in the real world…only out in the bbon docks. I liked that very much and I think if thats the case, which I expect then it’ll be a heavy contribution to the story and how it all fleshes out so to speak. As for the look of Jason Voorhees I’m expecting a more, darker, malevolent, vicious, but overall human persona like in the first 4 Friday’s. I expect a burlap sack wearing Jason at the beginning and as the story progresses eventually he eventually ditches the coveralls and burlap sack and dons some dingy torn clothing and the infamous hockey mask. Now everyones hung up on the look of part two only with a hockey mask, interesting concept but I say No, it would never work. I like the idea of staying relatively close to it though.

I like him to be a bit roughed up – but a Part 7-look obviously wouldn’t make any sense. If I have to “pick” from the first four, let him have the Final Chapter-look, but dirtier and grittier. And do we want to see his eyes through the mask? I usually say no, but I think (and hope) Derek can convey a lot of rage and emotion with his eyes (I think Brad mentioned it scared him). Just let him be pissed underneath – the most deranged, brutal human being ever (and not a big sad piece of meat).

Too bad its not Kane Hodder playing jason, but if they must use some one else, the Part 7 look is the ultimate look. As long as its not the Herman Munster look of FVSJ, that was just retarded. Of course he will be bald, he never had hair to begin with. And no chrome mask, he’s jason, not eminem.
