I still have all 100 discs. I proudly own a copy of the first Friday The 13th movie. I got a LD player in 1994. I still have all 100 discs. I proudly own a copy of the first Friday The 13th movie.

Thanks for posting" Yup, same here. Reading Fangoria's Laserdisc reviews from the mid '90s onward, I always wanted a Laserdisc player and some solid special edition's for the longest time during my youth, because I knew they were often more then ot in Widescreen, and had things as a Cinephile I would be interested in, such as the writer/director's commentary track as he or she commented on the project. And yeah, I heard aboiut how they would have to be flipped and there was laser rotting problems, ect. A lot of that was covered in The Creepy Kentuckian's "When Laserdiscs' Breifly Ruled the World" (from deadpit.com's YouTube channel) video a few weeks back. Here it is: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hWZc-bwXPLg Great stuff, and he shows off some good ones. And scabboy from www.scabboy.net, mad a vid a few days ago in which he showed off his Friday laserdiscs and CED discs. Enjoy it here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=A8YdZ_f6f70 “i always wanted a laser disc player back in the day. i think for a longer movie you would have a couple disks that you would have to flip which was kind of a buzz kill, but the quality was great and it’s cool to have something the size of an LP with friday the 13th art on it! I'm a HUGE Part 3-D mark, namely because it is my absolute favorite film in the original series, so anything pertaining to the Steve Miner sequels and The Final Chapter, I'm always into seeing from the past. Indeed: I was looking at Chris' parka-style heavy Winter seasonal coat, and I believe it's either a rare take or probably a rare promotional piece, as we never see ever with anything like that in the film. As you noted, she is simply wearing an easy-to-tear nylon early '80s jacket at night time as it is easily to break-away for the stunt women for when Jason tugs at her shirt during the window scene. And I like all of the lobby card inserts on the back. It's a shame & pitty that Laserdiscs, with all of they're flaws were never perfected and never came down in price or made smaller or whatever, as for years I would have prefered them, flaws and all, to VHS tapes that played the cropped Fullscreen versions of all of our favorite movies of any genre, and with no extra special features on them. Laserdiscs have some more then modest problems, such as Laser Rot and the like and with being over-priced and often very loud as I learned from a deadpit.com YouTube video with The Creepy Kentuckian, but they're covers and a lot of old school special edition's and they're gatefold covers that were basically the size of vinyl albums always facinated me.
