The rig is still attached to the axe if you check it out. This is in fact a real cool piece and I`m glad I had the chance to complete the costume with a nice weapon. I was asked by a friend to check the history of this prop back because he thinks this prop was also used in Part 4 in the beginning when the cops pick the axe up that sticks to Jason`s head and put it in the evidence bag. That movie was filmed 4 years before part 7 and also had a different FX crew, so I think it is not really likely.. but who knows. The blade of the axe seen on screen in part 4 was covered with mud and straw, so you can not see any FX details. I will defenitely try to find out more and keep you guys posted.
