See Friday the 13th part VII on the big screen as part of Lexington, KY’s Scare Fest!

Friday the 13th fans who are in the area for the 2009 Scare Fest next month in Lexington, KY (Sept 11-13) are in for a very special treat. Screening at midnight on the late Saturday/Early Sunday leg of the event at the historic Kentucky Theater (a stones throw away from the event) will be Friday the 13th part VII: The New Blood! Not only will the fans get to see a 35 mm film print of the film, the movie will be introduced by none other than Kane Hodder who will be appearing at the Scare Fest for the second year in a row! How cool is that!? Also playing at the Kentucky Theater on the weekend of the event (late Friday/Early Saturday at midnight) will be a 35 mm print of the Texas Chainsaw Massacre.
If you are in, or can be in the Lexington, Kentucky area on September 11-13 then there’s just no reason not to be there. Get your tickets HERE! Come back tomorrow for an all new interview with Scare Fest event manager Jeff Waldridge to find out about what other Friday the 13th related goodies fans can expect at The Scare Fest!

I’d go if I could get off from work for a few days.
I never noticed it before, but the time that appears next to the comments, is about four hours fast.
I’m hoping a lot of the regulars from this site manage to make it out. I’d love to see you guys there.
I would love to make it, but I will be out of town visiting Arizona for a football game. I saw Part 7 in the theater on opening weekend in 1988. It was a blast. I too wish I could see site regulars that weekend. But I definitely we be at the 30th next year. This sounds like fun!
Saw it on the big screen on friday may 13th 1988…although basically no gore, the weed whacker scene looks great on the big screen…even if there is no pay-off.
I WISH I WAS SMART ENOUGH TO WORK AT WAL-MART.
I remember seeing this on the big screen. This was the first Friday I saw “in theaters” actually. After months and months of reading about this movie in Fango I couldn’t wait to go see Jason on the big screen for the first time! The theater was packed (big theater btw) and it was SOOOOO rowdy in the crowd that the theater owner/manager came in twice and actually shut the movie down and threatened to stop the movie for good if the crowd didn’t settle down. But luckily we made it to the credits……Good times…..

Wow how lucky I am to live in Lexington, Ky. I promise ya this event will be awesome! Texas Caainsaw and Friday at the Ky Theater? Holy hell yeah! If you walked outside the convention, turned left and walked 3 blocks, you would be at the theater. Easy to find and for people who have never been to Lexington its the easiest city to drive downtown in EVER. So damn happy to see this coming here again.
Go BIG BLUE!
I didn’t see The New Blood in theaters because I was too young when it was released. I did, however, get to see Jasan Takes Manhattan the following year.
This would be a great movie to see in a theater. The Kentucky Theater, in particular, is the newest theater in the entire state of Kentucky so the experience should only be hightened by the state-of-the-art facility that was built in 1922. I will ask my father if I can borrow his new horse carriage so I have something truely “cutting edge” to roll up to the event with.
