  1. Damn, I wish I lived in Texas.

  2. I just turned 25 today. I am 6′3″ 215lbs. And willing to protect Anyone for Jason at any cost…

  3. I’m 26 and live in San Antonio. All I need is transportation. Would I have to pay to get in still if I wanted to be a staff member?

  4. I might, depending on how far they are going to have this reunion thing at. If its Dallas, probably wont have a problem, if its Austin, maybe a bit challenging. Should be qualified for it. 28 years old, 5′11 1/2″ tall, and around 240lbs.

Wonder if you get to keep the shirt, because that would be awesome.

  5. my bad, it is Dallas, totally fucking sweet…

(now feel like a dumbass for not looking closely at the top of the pic, lol)

  6. You guys really want to stand around a large crowd of fans and order them NOT to take pictures? Really? You want to be THAT guy?!?

I think the person for this job needs to be someone who is NOT a F13 fan. The guy in the above advertisement is not convincing either. Seriously, what if the blood on his shirt is his own because he ordered someone bigger than him to put away his camera one too many time and got slugged in the face by a TRUE fan?

I have seen fans meet Kane Hodder and Warington Gillette and get so pumped up because they are horror legends. THe effect of meeting these artists or being around some serious F13 memoribilia is enough to shoot a true fan’s confidence through the roof enough to attack a security guard.

  7. hey, money is money, and what better way to make it than to actually be around and meet some of the Jason’s of the past, right? Besides its not bigger man that is always the victor, but who has the most skills. Or that’s how its been for me in the past.

Yeah, there is a danger, but I see it as the same with any job. There is going to always be a danger, but you got to trust that your security buddies will be there to back you up, as well as any local law enforcement that maybe there, not to mention be aware of your surrounding. If you are not aware of whats going on around you, and your buddies leave you hanging, then yeah, you will get the holy fuck beat out of you. But overall, it’s just like any other job out there, you got to be careful.

  8. Why are they not hiring thier own people for this?

  9. Okay never mind. I don’t want to be that guy to tell a die hard fan not to take any pictures and suffer the consequences because of that action.

  10. Mario would have perhaps a better answer, but the workers for this event are going to be busy with all of the other craziness at the reunion. These positions are directly responsible for The screen used props display that Mario is kind enough to bring to the reunion. He wants to make sure the “no picture” policy is enforced. Hence, the need for some tough mutha’s to look the part.

  11. Jasonsfury….. I understand and agree there needs to be security, but i’m just kind of shocked that they wouldn’t be hiring thier own security company.
If they hire a regular joe what I want to know is will those people hired be insured in some way if anything happens?
I think it’s going to be tough to find so called volunteers for this.

  12. “Why are they not hiring their own people for this?”
You mean to take 4 fellows here from Germany over to Texas? I think it`s smarter to offer locals the chance to get the jobs. And as far as I think, hanging around in between all this stuff is not too bad at all. As a side note, I will work there actively too, so there is always the chance for us to shut oneself away for a certain time period to get your own impression of the event and to collect autographs. This just needs to be coordinated.

Oh, and we are not talking about a dangerous security job just like it would be in a Bank or at a 24hour gas station but we are talking about a usual STAFF job during an convention exhibition.

I`m sorry for not having mentioned details about the single jobs yet. This will all come over the next months though then things getting clearer. However, here`s a rough overview just to get the idea:

    - Helping to build up the exhibition room on day 1 and packing the items on day 3 after the show.

    - Being present during the exhibition IN the room for mentioned photograph reason and in front of the room to supervise the entrance.

    - Helping coordinate things during the exhibit in some way if needed.

Please get in contact with me at info@FridayThe13thProps.de if you want to be an active part of the Event. I`m working on an official form to send out to all interests by email in the upcoming months. I will ask the general questions like age, living location, etc. and a picture. This needs to be filled out and returned to me.

I will then have direct talks to you guys to work out who`s perfect for the jobs. Stay tuned for updates.

    Mario

P.S.: Oh, and you can keep the shirts of course. I think they looking cool and are a memento themselves that can be autographed by the star guests :)

  13. A good point, Chris. I`m currently in talks with an exhibition security company. It`s still open if they have to have their own guys in here or if certain requirements like “a room that can be locked over night” etc. is enough to get their security cover for the exhibition in general.

However it will turn out, I defenitley need separate exhibition STAFF to coordinate the show. As said, it`s everythign really fresh and details will be worked out in the upcoming months. This is just an early call for interests.

    All my best,
    Mario

  14. Mario,

Yes I agree extra staff to be a general help at the show, but regular joe’s such as “step up and be a rent a cop for the day” I think is not a good idea. Trained people should be doing this, anytime you get a gathering of people, things tend to get O.O.C. (Out Of Control).
