I thought they would be able to get away with more considering how Criminal Minds and CSI show some pretty gruesome stuff on CBS as well. It's a shame they moved to to Saturdays though. If my prediction is right, I could see Booth being the secret son of Jake Wakefield (think "Will Benson" in I Still Know What You Did Last Summer). The reason I suspect him is we don't know much about him and he's been in the background enough to not be noticed much while drifting away to commit the crimes. And he kind of looks sinister to me, but not to the point that he's an obvious red herring.
