Jason Lives (1986) • what's with the blonde girl????

Hey guys, i would love some feedback on a question I've pondered since 1986..(i know way too much time on my hands)
So i want to hear your thoughts on jason's fascination with the little blonde girl in the cabin.. What was it all about? Would he have harmed her?

I doubt he would have- but why did the director focus in on it.. A great film- my personal favourite - friday 13th part VI jason lives..

Which is what Poltergiest I and II have always been rated by the BBFC. I think the first film is pretty tame (and that bit with the guy pulling his face apart looks ropey these days), but the second film is pretty intense and on par with both Jason Lives and NOES 4 so a 15's seems right and generally that'd be a PG-13 in America.

It was indeed the filmmakers' intentions to ignore 5, but there's so few loopholes that it's easy to keep 5 in the continuity with a little explaining. This topic and the ending are probably the source of most confusion.
Though, I like to believe that it was Mr. Voorhees that arranged the burial, since he was originally going to have a role in this movie.

I guess explaining how he ended up in a grave in part 6 is pretty much the same as indicating that 6 ignores the events of 5 all away around~

You don't eat a whole deer in one sitting so if he's hunting deer and cleaning it and storing it properly he will have plenty of supplies, it would be the same for other smaller game as well.
Most movies substitute meal worms for maggots because the are bigger and look more impressive on film.
As for Jason not being cremated, yeah the sherrif says "were you there, did you see it" which is a good way to keep doubt in people's minds. You had to do that since they wanted you to think Jason was the killer, but the series was intending to continue with Tommy as the killer after part 5 so it was just misdirection.
Regardless of how you want to explain Jason not being cremated in 5 you still have to explain how he ended up in a grave with a headstone in 6.

In fact, no! I think Tom McLoughlin did an excellent job in his life story and characters are Jason and meticulous. I think the level of the children is just another spin on Friday raised to a really rich story...

My memory is the first Friday of Jason jumping a burning water attack Tommy. I love how Jason locked in the crystal lake bottom. I think this is a real interest in film began on Friday...

Possible, he scheduled to be cremated, but woke up before he can through the furnace and left (such as sorting what happened in the morgue in the last chapter) to send...

Agreed 100% The best film of the series!

Aside from what as been said, the setting was the best, I loved CJ's portrayal of Jason.....but more importantly, this movie saved the franchise IMO. You remember, part 4 was supposed to be the last.....when they made part 5, it was going in a different direction (with Tommy supposedly becoming the killer after the trauma he went through). Part 6 brought Jason back and kept the series from veering off course....for that, my hat's off to Tom McCloughlin!

My favorite movie in the series and I love all the kills in this movie, so it's hard to pick a favorite among so many great kills. Sheriff Garis's back adjustment is great.....Nikki getting her face smashed through the RV wall is also awesome.....but if I had to pick, I'd probably saw the first one inthe movie, when Jason punches right through Hawes's rib cage and you see Jason holding his heart on the other end. Great kill and really sets the tone for the rest of the movie.

I only wish we could have seen Deputy Cologne get was coming to him. Outside of Tommy and Megan, he was the only other surivor in the film. I recall a clip of the director mentioning after the initial viewing, the studio wanted 3 more kills to round to 13, the scene in which Martin the care taker and the couple getting it on the woods were later added......I always hated to see Martin get killed.....wish they would have killed off the deputy instead. "I'll get it for you, babe!"

Ok sorry Kane I did not know it was just a PG rating in them days in USA that why I just type in PG-13. These are the UK ratings U, PG, 12, 15 & 18.
