I always thought it was Vera, because he says, "All you gotta do is go over and remove the..." I always took that to mean the arrow in her eye, since Chris had removed the knife from Debbie to use against Jason and Jason didn't leave the pitchfork in Fox, and Chili... I doubt it was Chili.

Well, Friday the 13th uses its famous retcons to get around things. I believe it was with New Blood where the narrator flat-out told you that Jason can't die (showing his "death" from the Final Chapter intentionally), he was even alive at the end of the movie.
Although Jason Goes to Hell sent him to the confines of Hell... Freddy Vs. Jason showed that all it took was for Jason to WANT to come back, and then he regenerates. Which makes me think all the times he didn't come back was his choice, since FvJ shows that Jason eternal torment is slaying irresponsible teenagers.

Though, I'm calling it bad continuity at this point, since Jason didn't come back until he was awakened by lightning. Which pretty much says his heart stopped, therfore, he was dead.

Agreed. The final (but not really) chapter remains the best. I do wish some fans would start giving Part 2 more love, though. No ski mask for Jason yet, but it is still a nasty, bloody, suspenseful installment.

I totally agree. Really, they should just release them all on blu-ray, but especially parts 4 and 5.

When will they relase this title on blu-ray? i wont die happy until they release it.
Its the best movie in the series and still they stopped after part3 which wasnt even
originally intended to be the final chapter like this one. RELASE IT!

I totally agree with you there. I can watch 2, 3, and 4 right in a row any day of the week! Especially with 4 being the climactic one to end this "trilogy", you just can't go wrong.

Maybe he could die when he was human but when he transformed into "Zombie Jason" he can not die unless he is killed by another Voorhees. Freddy Vs. Jason. Freddy brought Jason back using his supernatural powers.

So I think the only way that Jason can be brought back to life after he is killed by another Voorhees is only by the aid of supernatural power. I'm not completely sure about that but it is the most logic explanation.

I think Jason's pretty well dead at the end of The Final Chapter. He was still "human" at that time and he just about had his head sliced in half. The whole "can never die" thing was something made up in the New Line sequels, cause Tommy definitely killed him. This is why they went with a different killer in the next film while grooming Tommy to be a killer, before that flopped and Jason was brought back to life in Jason Lives.

While Jason can't be killed in the traditional sense, I do think he can be knocked temporarily unconscious by particularly severe blows. Up until part 4, he hadn't been clobbered hard enough to put him down for more than a few hours, but getting his own machete driven through his head (and then being stabbed repeatedly by Tommy) put him in something more like a coma. I think that, even if he hadn't been dug up and given a jolt, he still would have "woken" eventually; it just would have taken longer.

I think the beginning of Freddy Vs Jason pretty much clarifies Jason's immortality when Freddy as Pamela tells Jason that no matter what they do to him, "he can never die"!

Let's be honest, the series doesn't even try to hide the fact that it contradicts itself on so many occasions, one being that there's two seperate "Final" chapters, yet both didn't live up to that. So as fans, it's pointless to try to make sense of it. But that doesn't stop us.
Anyways, Jason Goes to Hell changes a lot of what was established, and it's now overtly supernatural, as Jason is unable to die, except by the hand of another Voorhees. So what happened to Jason here? He was sure quick to come back in Jason Lives, but other than that, he seemed pretty dead.
My explanation is that Jason saw that his duty was complete, and he chose not to come back (until he was forcefully revived). Maybe he even met his mom in hell, who knows. For that matter, was he even in hell, or just waiting?

I heard that in a deleted scene, Jason chased Mrs. Jarvis upstairs and drowned her in the bathtub.
As for my favorite, I'd say Rob's. BTW, I think you're forgetting someone...

Paul's is the most painful to watch.

My favorite is Samantha's.....love Jason exploding out of the water and spearing that beautiful naked body!
