Is this even a question? We're talking about one 'ok' performance in an awful remake and comparing it to an icon who has made is laugh, cry and hide our eyes in fear for almost thirty years! Your opinions on the remake aside(which of course you're entitled to, no matter how wrong you are ), this is a bit of a dud topic. Anyone who says Haley is the 'One True Freddy' is simply not a horror fan!

I do agree that this was a good remake the better of the remakes in my opinion I feel that nothing will replace Robert England. The originals will always be better.

Well, what is your personal opinion on this matter?

Recently, I saw the new remake of Nightmare on Elm Street and it was extremely good in my opinion. Jackie Earle Haley did one great job giving us a new image of the dreaded Freddy Kruger. Though it seemed necessary to put a new Freddy into the mix for the remake, what about Robert Englund? Eight horror-changing films (a few duds here and there) really make you an icon. The new Freddy sure did scare me more than the old, but you got to give props to Englund for making Freddy become an icon in the face of horror. Your opinion?
