Biography: "Judie Aronson was born in Panorama City, California. The fourth of five daughters, she was dubbed "the baby with the beat" by her family; a title she earned for her frequent song and dance routines. She attended Millikan Jr. High School in Sherman Oaks. In addition to being a cheer- leader, she also appeared in several high school productions. Aronson began her professional acting career in her sophomore year at UCLA. Her first paying job was co-starring opposite Peter Barton in The Powers of Matthew Starr. Upon graduating from UCLA, Judie followed a unique idea she had, and was successful in creating several eclectic stores, which were featured in Los Angeles Magazine's 'top 50 stores in LA' issue." - IMDB.com

Quote: "Right before The Final Chapter came along, I had actually gotten leading roles in two other movies, both in production at the same time. I ended up turning one down and accepting the other because it was a huge Universal film, a big, potentially Academy Award-winning thing. Then after a week of rehearsals, they asked me if I would change my name - they were having some problems with the society for Hispanic actors, because I was non-Hispanic playing what was supposed to be a Hispanic role. And I wouldn't do it, so they ended up letting me go. I went back to the other film and said, 'Okay, I'll take it,' but by that point it was gone. One minute I had two big films, and the next I had none. So when this one happened I was very excited. And everyone was aware of Friday the 13th. Even back then, it had a cult following. Of course I had concerns, like, 'Is this going to be bad for the rest of my career?' It's a B-movie, a slasher film, and there's nudity in it, so it was very scary.
