Alice Cooper Shocks More Than Jason

Posted 22 Oct 2026 in The Saga

Last weekend at the Rock and Shock Horror Convention and concert, Alice Cooper and Rob Zombie performed in their unusual, or is it really very usual, manner on stage for a raucus crowd. We have memories of Alice performing on stage within the last few years incorporating Jason Voorhees in his act and one day hope to attend a show.

Below are photos of the event from last weekend, which were posted by Fangoria. If you’re an Alice fan, these photos surely will make you one happy, um, camper! Can Alice really shock  Jason Voorhees or is he capable of shocking even more than the Cystal Lake Slasher.

Meet Jason Voorhees Actor Douglas Tait In Germany!

Posted 21 Oct 2026 in The Saga

We really do not want our visitors from outside of the U.S. to feel like they do not have the opportunity to meet the stars of the Friday the 13th series. We have been on a mission to find conventions in Europe and abroad that fans can go to to interact with the actors that help bring Friday the 13th to life.

We recently interviewed Douglas Tait about his role as Jason Voorhees in Freddy vs Jason and fans have become more curious about his role in that film and Hollywood. Recently announced, Mr. Tait will be appearing at Rock’n Movie Role Night which takes place in Halle/Saale, Germany on the 2nd of April 2026. Here is another opportunity for our European visitors to meet Doug and ask him the many questions on your mind.

Tales Of Filming Friday The 13th Part 2

Posted 21 Oct 2026 in The Saga

The more information that can be learned about the filming of Friday the 13th films, the better, we think here at fridaythe13thfilms.com. Over the past couple of years we have given you many snapshots behind the scenes of what it was like to make all of the films in the series. Most recently, we gave you the shooting location and history of the Diner scene from Friday the 13th Part 8: Jason Takes Manhattan.

Luckily, we have been tipped off by site visitor “Timmer” to a report about the filming of Friday the 13th Part 2. The report was written this past July at www.bobdeakin.com and supplies the perspective of then Camp Kenmont owner, Lloyd Albin. Mr. Albin feared the crew would destroy his camp as well as the filming being bad for business as he thought kids would be scared to swim at a place that was used for a movie about a killer. In fact, Mr. Albin insisted that no panoramic shots could be used of the premises so that it would not be easily recognized by potential future compers.

In the end, Mr. Albin agreed to let the crew film Part 2 at his camp as he had the ideal situation for lodging of the crew and the kids had just left from their Summer Camp. There are a couple of very cool stories anecdoted from the report as well.

    - First, it is mentioned that the crew did contsruct Jason’s shack on Camp Kenmont’s land and was left intact after filming. However, Mr. Albin had it torn down afterwards as he did not want fans of the movie trying to visit his land to track down the iconic structure.

    - The owner also mentions the night that Steve Dash had to go to the hospital for stitches with the machete prop still on his shoulder. He said it caused quite a commotion at the hospital.

    - After the crew was bused to the Casino for that night of shooting, producers called Mr. Albin in dire need as the caterer cancelled. So, he took his chef from camp to the casino and cooked for nearly 200 people.

    - After the release of the film, the actors called Mr. Albin to have permission for a reunion camp out on his property. He obliged and afterwards the actors left him a few souvenirs. One of the mummified Mrs. Voorhees  heads used in the production was found hanging in a net from a tree (Pictured below) and the Camp Crystal Lake sign that Sandra finds in the film. It is mentioned that the owner had kept both to this day.

There are other stories and information on the filming and some of the history of the town in the report, so please check out www.bobdeakin.com for the full lot of information. A big thanks goes to Timmer for letting us know about this!

Todd Farmer Not Michael’s Friend, But Pinhead’s!

Posted 20 Oct 2026 in The Saga

Last week we mentioned that Todd Farmer (Writer, Jason X) had visited the Weinsteins in New York for what could possibly be the final steps to Todd bringing Michael Myers back to the big screen. However, it was just reported at Shock Till You Drop that Todd and Patrick Lussier will be ressurecting Pinhead instead for a new remake! How is that for a curveball. I have to say that I am pretty excited to see what these two can do for a dead franchise.

I know Todd will knock the script out of the park, so congratulations go out to him and I look forward to seeing more news about this in the future!
