Shooting Location: Part 8 Manhattan NYC Diner

Posted 20 Oct 2026 in The Saga

Even though many fans rank Jason Takes Manhattan near the bottom of their lists for the franchise, there is still no denying that coolness factor of seeing Jason in the middle of Time Square. Of course it is not only the highlight of the film, but Mr. Voorhees being filmed in New York is indeed a highlight of the franchise. Slowly, but surely, we are digging up information on the shooting locations for Part 8 and now we have exclusively discovered the shooting location of the Diner that Jason follows Rennie and Scott into in New York.

The Diner was called Hastings Mill Restaurant and is located at 156 West Hastings Street. Not too surprisingly, the scene was shot in a diner in Vancouver, B.C., Canada. In fact, it’s worth noting that most of the alley scenes, the rooftop boxing match and the diner scene were all shot on one city block. That fact is simply amazing to find out. First, we’ll take our visitors through the documents we used to find the Diner shooting location and then show you current day photos of the building.

Below are the Call Sheets for day 10 of shooting for the Diner which includes a hand drawn map of the location of the Diner. The Diner is circled in red.

We had a hard time locating exterior or interior photos of the diner from that time. The Diner is no longer in business, but below are photos that are as recent as 2026.  The first photo is a wide shot of the block the old Diner is located on. In that photo the old Diner is the building to the left. The building to the right is actually the Vancouver School of Film! The two photos below are closeups of the old Diner.

So now we know of yet another filming location of the franchise. If you live in Canada or fancy a trip across the border from the U.S. and want to make a little trip to see series history, it is suggested to go see this area soon. There are more locations in Vancouver that the Manhattan crew used for the film. Some include a research facility and a ship yard.

…….And also, there may have been a third actor to portray Jason in Part 8!

Adrienne King Says No Cameo In ‘Scream 4′

Posted 19 Oct 2026 in The Saga

Back in April, a little rumor was put out there by Bloody Disgusting that Adrienne King may have a cameo in the upcoming film Scream 4. When she was asked about the possibility at that time, she answered with the following:

“I’ve always wanted to work with Wes… as a matter of fact… I would die to work with Wes!”

Since then, there has been no word about a supposed cameo in the film. Adrienne at one point was also rumored to cameo in the 2026 reboot of Friday the 13th. That never did take place and now we finally have an answer to an Adrienne’s cameo taking place in Scream 4.

The first Final Girl was recently interviewed by www.oregonlive.com about her role in the 1980 hit Friday the 13th as well as her Crystal Lake Wine. During the interview, it was mentioned that Adrienne has been linked to cameos in Friday the 13th and Scream. In the article, it is stated that Adrienne never saw a script for the newest Friday the 13th and she failed to connect to Wes Craven for Scream 4.:

“Wes and Sean (Cunningham, the director of “Friday the 13th”) worked together on a lot of things,” she says. “So maybe ‘Scream 5,’ but not “4.’”

Perhaps she will get her shot in Scream 5 or the inevitable Friday the 13th sequel. Only time will tell!

Behind The Scenes: Part 2 Window Crash

Posted 18 Oct 2026 in The Saga

One of the most talked about scenes in all of the Friday the 13th films is the window crash scene towards the end of Friday the 13th Part 2. The scene is heavily discussed for many reasons. The biggest reason for discussion is for the simple debate of is the scene a dream or is it reality. This has been discussed for decades and it is still something that splits the fanbase to this day.

More recently, the facts came out about the fact that although Warrington Gillette was credited as Jason, he only played Jason in one scene. That scene happens to be the window crash scene at the end of the movie. Although it was debated for a small time if that was indeed fact, now everyone knows that Warrington did indeed only play Jason for the window scene.

Since we are showcasing the film marathon by AMC and Part 2 is on tonight, we thought that fans would like to see a special behind the scenes image of that debated window crash scene. The image is below the screen cap. Enjoy.

AMC Fearfest Week: Win Replica Part 3 Hockey Mask!

Posted 18 Oct 2026 in The Saga

All this week, we are celebrating AMC Fearfest’s Marathon of the Friday the 13th film series. Friday the 13th 1980 through Jason Goes To Hell will be airing starting Monday, October 18th. To commemorate the observance of the franchise by AMC, we are going to be giving away an exact replica of the hockey mask from Friday the 13th Part 3!

The mask was painted and detailed by one of our friends of the website, jasonlivessince1980. We have featured his work on the website previously and he was generous enough to create this screen accurate mask for a lucky fan to win. The mask itself is from later in the film during the barn scene with the final confrontation between Jason and Chris. Check out the pics of the mask below, which indeed is THE mask which will be sent to the lucky winner. For more of the work done by jasonlivessince1980, please check out is blog, http://jasonlivessince1980.blogspot.com/. He also is a featured artist at Frightstuff, so if you want to contact him there, please do so.

So, the question is, how can I win this awesome hockey mask? Well, that’s a good question and that is exactly how you can win, by answering some questions. Starting on Monday, October 18th and running through Friday October 22nd, we will be posting a daily blog with questions to be answered for the films that will be showing that day on AMC. For example, October 18th will have questions pertaining to Friday the 13th Part 1 and Part 2.

    HOW TO ENTER AND WIN

This contest will be like buying a raffle ticket for a drawing. If you were to buy 5 raffle tickets, you would have 5 chances to win. The same will apply here. For each day of questions you submit correct answers for, that is one more chance you are given to win the drawing. Answer the questions correctly for all five days and you will have 5 chances to win the hockey mask. If you submit answers for only one day, that would lessen your chances in the drawing to win.

For each day, read the questions, then send your answers in an email to [email protected]. Include “Hockey Mask” Contest in the Subject line. Please include the following in your email:

    1. Your screen name if you post here on the website or another name you can be recognized by.
    2. Your answers to the questions with the corresponding numbers.

On Friday night, October 22nd, all of the entries that are received with the correct answers by 11:59 PM EST of that day will be put into a bin. One entry will be pulled randomly and that entry will be the winner of the Part 3 hockey mask! The winner will be contacted via email Saturday October 23rd and the winner announced on the website.

If you have any questions, please leave them in the comments below or send an email to [email protected]. Good luck to everyone and have fun answering all of the questions this week. Make sure to watch the Friday the 13th Marathon all this week on AMC!

Sister Picks Up The Pieces After Jason Voorhees

Posted 18 Oct 2026 in Fans

We are always on the lookout for unique and unusual items that are representative of the Friday the 13th franchise and this new custom statue definitely fits the bill. A user named “crankmaggot” from theHMA.net forum created this custom 16″ statue featuring Jason’s younger sister picking up the body parts left behind after Jason goes on his murderous rampages. This item will be interesting to those that like the different mythologies that can be created of the Jason Voorhees family and the Friday the 13th saga.

This statue is indeed humurous as the creator mentioned in his thread, but would be a cool little item to display next to Jason on a shelf near you!
