Jeannine Taylor’s Lost Polaroid From The Set

Posted 10 May 2026 in The Saga

marcy_killRecently, Jeannine Taylor (Marcy, Friday the 13th 1980) attended her first convention at Monster Mania and from what I am told she had a great time. In doing so, she would love to offer one specific image to the fans at her next convention for signatures. However, this one photo was stolen from her a while back. The polaroid is from her death scene. She is made up with the ax and the blood and her little pink shirt and she is waving to the camera. She would really like to have this for the fans. So, I am asking the Friday the 13th fanbase for your help.

Jeannine is asking anyone who may have the original photo or a copy of it, to email an electronic copy so she may have it to provide to fans at a later date. Those who would come forward would not get into any trouble as she is not looking to have the original back per se, but just have an electronic copy. So, to reiterate, if you can provide the image taken during the filming of the scene pictured to the right, you will not get in trouble at all. Jeannine would be very grateful just to have a copy of it. If you have any information or the image mentioned, please send an email to [email protected]. Thanks everyone for your help!

“The Man In The Lake” Production Images

Posted 10 May 2026 in Fans, The Saga

We first previewed this highly anticipated fan film back in January. Through various test phases with the Jason costume, location scouting and patience with the weather, production has now begun on Southlan-Films’ “The Man In The Lake”. Below are some images taken on location where filming is taking place. The gas station looks perfect for this type of movie and the images of the lake are just awesome. Those shots remind of first person POV shots that Mrs. Voorhees had in the original.

To learn more information about the film, read our last update which has all of the information pertaining to this new movie which will hopefully return Jason back to his origins of the 80′s.

Happy Birthday “Friday the 13th”

Posted 09 May 2026 in The Saga

JasonVoorheesSome of you have commented already and we meant to get the word out already, but we wanted to wish the Friday the 13th franchise a very Happy Birthday! Today, May 9th is the exact release date of Friday the 13th in theaters 30 years ago. Indeed, Friday the 13th is 30 years old. We have seen a total of 12 movies released in the series as there will almost definitely be more to come.

As part of the 30 year birthday celebration, fridaythe13thfilms.com will be running multiple contests this summer. The first contest will begin in June and the last contest will end in August. More details will be announced within the next couple of weeks. There will be a number of great prizes given away. Some prizes include vintage memoribilia that is 30 years old! Other prizes will be very recent in terms of when they were released.

I was also told by a visitor to the fridaythe13thfilms.com, Matt, that Jason Voorhees is the Featured Article on the Wikipedia home page today. I am not sure if it is just coincidence or if the good folks at Wikipedia are in the know about the birthday. Check out the homepage of Wikipedia to read up on our favorite slasher icon. Thanks again to Matt for letting me know about Wikipedia.

Friday Conversation: That Night With Chris and Jason

Posted 07 May 2026 in The Saga

thatnightwithChris
Among the numerous inconsistencies in the series, there has always been two big “wait a minute” moments. One we have covered previously, which is the ending of Part 2. The other is the story Chris tells Rick in Part 3 about the night she first encountered Jason. The very first problem with the story is that Jason is wearing the green shirt and grey pants. The attack that Chris mentions happened months before Part 3 and Jason had just stole the shirt and pants from Harold and Edna. That is always a “huh” moment. However, the more interesting question has to do with what happened between Jason and Chris after the initial attack.

Chris mentions to Rick that after she kicked the knife away from Jason, she just blacks out. She wakes up the next day in her bed. Does Jason not kill people when they blackout? I don’t think so. Or was something else going on out in those woods when Chris went blank? I wonder what really transpired that night……….

This Is Not Your Jason Voorhees’ Splatterhouse

Just announced over at the official Twitter account, the new trailer for the brand new Splatterhouse video game is available for viewing. This game is definitely not the side scrolling game that many of us grew up with in the 80′s and into the early 90′s. I knew that the new game would not have Jason’s trademark hock, but that was what was so great about the original game. It was the only game (and still is) that you actually felt like Jason going on a carnage filled rampage.

This new game, however, will be a lot of fun to play. Nothing beats mindless carnage. To watch the new trailer, visit the official website for the game at www.splatterhousegame.com . Check out some of the action below!

Jason Voorhees Grudgematch: Reboot vs White 4

Posted 06 May 2026 in The Saga

grudgematch6
Last week saw a very close contest between Space Jason and Manhattan Jason. It was duel to the end, but Manhattan won in a very narrow margin. I never thought I would see the day when this many people actually would pick Jason from Jason Takes Manhattan to win anything. Well, this week will be even more interesting. Lets see how many old school Friday fans visit the website and how many next generation fans are lurking about. Curiousity is piqued to see what the results of this match will be.

Reboot vs White 4
Everyone that has seen the reboot from last year agrees that Derek Mears and the Jason he portrayed was spot on for the character. Jason was a little scary again and brought a verocious demeanor to the screen that had lacked a bit in recent memory. Next to that portrayal is Ted White’s take of Jason in The Final Chapter. Jason was a beast in that film as well and it would be interesting to see what would would happen if Jason from the reboot and Jason from The Final Chapter collided. Well, now here is our chance. Which Jason would be left standing at the  end?

White 4:  Corkscrew
Reboot:  Bow and Arrow

Jason Voorhees Homage In Scream 4?

Posted 06 May 2026 in The Saga

scream_jasonAnyone who has watched Scream knows that the franchise was built on the notion of deconstructing the slasher sub-genre. In doing so, Kevin Williamson based his script for the original movie on mostly Halloween as well as Friday the 13th. With production for Scream 4 gearing up, our sister website, www.scream-trilogy.net, has been keeping up on all of the goings on for the new movie and today have posted a very intriguing story in relation to possible costumes that may be used for the killer.

In the story, it is mentioned that there might be different variations of the Ghostface mask being used within the film, with possible homages to Rob Zombie’s Halloween as well as Jason Voorhees. It is all speculation now, but check out the new “Scarecrow” Ghostface mask that has been produced for sale this Halloween. This mask was also featured at Wes Craven’s Flickr account recently.

Since there is a very strong rumor that Scream 4 will be tackling the remake craze in Hollywood, could the killer in Scream be using different variations of the Ghostface costume to pay homage to certain rebooted franchises? In doing so, could the killer wear something similar to this new “Scarecrow” costume to pay homage to sack worn by Jason Voorhees? For the entire story on these developments, check out our sister site and let us know what you think here about this possibility!

3D Or Not 3D? That Is The Question.

Posted 05 May 2026 in The Saga

Starting at the beginning of this year, the visitors to this website have been building and creating the marketing and production crew for a new Friday the 13th movie. Let’s just call it the Ultimate Friday the 13th movie. We have the poster, the production crew and the shooting location. I guess the next question is, should it be in 3D? Every movie that is greenlit nowadays is done so with the thought of putting the film into that 3rd dimension. Yes, if the 3D is done correctly, the film can be enhanced and that makes for a better movie watching experience. However, there is only one reason the studios are pushing the 3D craze. Money!

ultimate_movie

If you visit the multiplexes on a regular basis, you know that theaters are charging a minimum of $5 extra per ticket for admission. This helps boost the overall sales numbers for the films released in 3D and is the only thing right now getting huge numbers of people into theaters. Otherwise most people would rather stay home with their Blu-Ray or Netflix and their 50-70 inch flat panels. Not saying that the theaters would be empty, but ticket sales would be down a good amount.

We have already had one Friday the 13th movie released in 3D and I admit that the movie is significantly more entertaining when viewed in the proper 3D at the theater. So, would you like to see your Ultimate Friday the 13th movie filmed in 3D? What about the inevitable sequel to the hit 2026 movie?
