I loved the atmosphere and look of this film. This isn't my favorite one but I really like this one.

I agree that Jasons look was solid, but the over script was not very good, and the psychic power thing is quite comical. The sleeping bag kill was top class, though. The infamous "earring chase scene" is amazing to me, beginning with Jason standing out behind the tree to the split screen image in the barn.

And I still find Melissa one of the hottest women in the series.

The 'earring chase' as you put it was always one of my favorite scenes in the New Blood.

It's an O.K. entry - but you can definitely see the effects that the Nightmare On Elm Street series had on this flick - you can see the MTVish tones and stylings - something that had started to take shape in Elm Streets 3 and 4 (mainly 4).

I never liked this one, possibly my least favourite actually (not counting FvJ or the remake). Kane Hodder made an impressive Jason and John Buechler created some great set pieces, but overall the script was crap, the direction is very tepid and the characters bland. Not one I watch regularly. Although Terry Kiser is as good as ever as Dr. Crews.

I have never understood the love of this entry. I agree with you Christian.......Dr. Crews was the best part of the entire film. I thought the script is horrible. The 'psychic' addition was one of the worst ideas of the series. There were some great scenes though....I'll be the first to admit that. The sleeping bag.....the earring chase scene.....ect...were amazing. Kane did a solid job as Jason.....but I still prefer human jason much, much better.

I didn't care for the telekenesis angle, but I enjoyed the familiar lake setting and the sleeping bag kill scene is classic.
