or maybe it was her mother, and Jason cut the wires.. but how did he know her adress? why did he put his mother's head in a fridge? and why did he pick up a steaming pot from the cooker? to cook the cat for dinner? When I first saw the movie, it seemed clear that is why he grabbed the kettle, and the camera was on the cat, he would kill it, but off screen because it would be too cruel to see it on screen.. and he does kill and eat a dog later on the movie so it makes damn sense..
