Biography: Joan Freeman first appeared on television at the age of 7 in the children's show, Sandy Dreams. Acting throughout her childhood and teenage years, she had her first big break in a starring role on the TV show, Bus Stop. She eventually starred opposite Roy Orbison in the 1967 movie, The Fastest Guitar Alive. She was also Elvis Presley's love interest in the 1964 movie, Roustabout.
After her role as Mrs. Jarvis in Friday the 13th: The Final Chapter, she appears to have retired from the entertainment industry.
Update: Joan Freeman and her husband, Bruce Kessler, frequently travel around the world in their boat, and were featured recently in an on-line boating site called TrawlerWorld.com.

Info: "The part of Tommy and Trish's mother, Mrs. Jarvis, went to Joan Freeman (now known as Joan Kessler, having married veteran television producer Bruce Kessler), a genre veteran best remembered for her role in the 1960s film Panic in Year Zero! and Tower of London, not to mention her television guest appearances on Perry Mason and The Outer Limits. 'The Friday the 13th film was one of my last roles before I left acting,' she says. 'I liked the character and I liked the relationship between the mother and the daughter and the son. My death scene was really scary.' As it turned out, the death of Mrs. Jarvis would end up being the film's greatest mystery." - p. 112
"As it turns out, a lot of things happened to Mrs. Jarvis, but none of them made it onto the big screen. 'I liked the scene when I walk out of the house and I stare up at Jason; it was very tense,' says Kessler. 'Even better was a scene we shot where my face rises out of the bathtub and my eyes are very nightmarish-looking. I remember doing another scene where Kimberly Beck finds me and I'm still alive, but it turns out to be a nightmare because I'm really dead.'" - pg. 119, Making Friday the 13th
