FRIDAY THE 13th & GEARS OF WAR 2 to team up ?
Hey guys, I caught an interesting story today over at Fangoria:
Sometimes cross-promotions tend to come out of nowhere, and this one could easily fall into that category. Warner Bros. announced today that they’re teaming up with XBOX to launch the 13 DAYS OF GEARS SWEEPSTAKES, bringing together GEARS OF WAR 2, and the upcoming FRIDAY THE 13th for massive prizes.
“Leading up to the release of Friday the 13th on February 13, Xbox and Warner Bros. have teamed up for a big Play & Win Sweepstakes featuring Gears of War® 2. You could win some great Gears of War 2 merchandise in the Daily Prizes, and we’ve got thirteen Grand Prize Packages to give away that includes a flat-panel LCD HDTV. To enter, just register your gamertag and then play the specified multiplayer match type between February 1 – 13, 2008.”

When is someone gonna smarten up and make a new FRIDAY THE 13TH video game? Come on Microsoft, Sony! Get on that shit!!
You know I’ve asked that same question for years, the closest they’ve come in recent years is rip-off characters in games such as Manhunt, and you can find the Jason attire in some of the Grand Theft Auto games.
This is all the more reason why game companies should be jumpin’ at the chance to make these games. It’s not like we’re all still playing on the NES or something, ya know?
Could you imagine how cool it would be play a Friday the 13th game that’s laid out like Resident Evil? For that matter, let’s not stop at Jason. Let’s have Michael Myers, Leatherface and Pinhead too! (Not all in the same game, though.) These game companies would be sitting on gold mines if they’d talk to the movies companies about making this happen.
Question: If a Friday The 13th game were to be made (with the gears of war engine…hmmm, glory be!)…what would be the best way to go? As a random consellor, wandering around a camp with Jason tracking you? Or…to BE Jason and to kill as many sexed up teens as possible? Ha ha, I know which one sounds more fun!
I’d like to play as Jason and get points for creative or group kills.
don’t you guys think they should make a friday the 13th video game for PS3 and XBOX after the movie of course so the game makers get all the story’s details right or make a slightly changed version.
Personally i think it would be way better for ps3 and if you were jason and these teens come in crystal lake and you go around mainly trying to kill them all and actually being alive so if you’re life is low you would have to eat an animal or something unless they do it really good it will ruin the name of friday the 13th.
Man, A videogame featuring all the killers like Jason, Michael, Freddy, Leatherface, Chucky, Leprechaun, Pinhead, Chatterer & others is long overdue. That reminds me, all horror fans should check this out, it still not complete but ive been practicing the demo with Michael for a while now & Leatherface is such a prick when you fight him, damn him & his friggin’ bear traps. I can’t wait till they add Jason so I can smack the shit outta him, anyways, check it:

I agree with Jason_f*ckin_rulz only I would recamend that there be a seires of video games were u could play as jason and some were along the way jason is walking down elm st. and passes 1428 and while he is walking jesse from elm street part2 JUMPS OUT OF THE WINDOW with freddy\’s glove on and tries to kill jason but he blocks him with his mechety then it cuts as you fight jesse as the last boss of the first game for wii and ps3 and xbox 360
Man ive been waiting years for a pc or ps3 or xbox 360 Friday the 13th video game.it would be better with jason only.More realistic.
