Jason Voorhees Grudgematch: Brooker 3 vs. White 4
Starting today and running through to the summer, we will be posting our Jason Voorhees Grudgematch fight cards. Each week, two incarnations of Jason Voorhees will square off against each other. It will be the job of the visitors to this website to plead the case of which Jason should survive and win. If you want to tell us that Part 4 Jason would shove a corkscrew into Part 3 Jason’s hand, hence rendering him defenseless and vulnerable to countless beatdowns, then so be it. This is meant to be a fun and crazy way to tell us about your favorite Jason.
The folowing week, we will score the bout and the records of all Jason’s will be posted. In the summer, we will see which Jason has the most wins and deemed the baddest Jason on the block. So, remember, anything goes. Tell us how one Jason would dispatch of the other Jason and which is the more destructive. Please keep it civil everyone and remember, have fun! 
Brooker 3 vs White 4
Quite possibly the two most influential Jason’s in the series. These two are always too close to call when it comes to being called the fan’s favorite Jason. However, the question is which Jason would destroy who? How would they find each other’s weaknesses and exploit them. Only you can help them win
Unusual Weapons of Choice:
Brooker 3: Harpoon Gun
White 4: Corkscrew
White would win, hes just way angrier. By far the best jason of the entire franchise.
It would have to be Part 4 Jason. Not only does he has the semi-zombie thing going for him, he’s got better standing posture, and we all know how important that is. Plus, he’s not going to be distracted during the fight by clothes (need I remind you that Part 3 is know for stealing clothes and masks from fat kids). The only slight advantage Part 3 would have is his ability to transcend into the 3rd dimension.
For me, It is no contest – Brooker all the way. He’s easily my favorite Jason of all time. Physically, he’s more menacing and huge. His actions seemed more psychotic and rage-filled, like when he is tearing apart the barn or sprinting after Chris. I think one of the scariest moments in the entire franchise is when Jason is sans mask smiling and hissing at Chris in Part 3. Truly frightening. And even though Part 3′s make-up is not as elaborate as Final Chapter’s, it has always seemed more realistic and creepy to me. Personally, in a side-by-side comparison, and can’t think of a single instance where Ted White’s Jason did something better than Brooker’s. But I also realize that a lot of the traits that Brooker gave to Jason would never be revisited, whereas White’s portrayal is closer to what Jason would become in the later installments. But White’s Jason always seemed a little cardboard and lifeless to me compared to Brooker’s, but that is just a matter of taste of course.
And Ted White better not be doing any hand stands while Brooker’s around. I’m just sayin’…
I vote Jason from part IV. He would see that Part III’s Jason would like to run alot to chase his enemies, where part IV’s is more stealthy. Take the poker part III’s used and shove it into his kneecaps to render him partially crippled and them proceed to use any random garden utensils found in the basement of the house across from the Jarvis’ on him until he’s not much more than hamburger stuffed into bloody green shirt and pants.

White all the way
My vote goes to Ted White. The Jason of part 4 is way smarter, and way more angrier then the Jason of part 3. Dont get Me wrong, I liked Richard Brookers performance. I mean He actually was running after Chris in the final scenes, even after He was stabbed in the leg. But Ted White is just better by far. I just think He used more strategy to get His victims. Like for instance, He actually enters the water and hides for the first time since part 1. Then He dispatches of Samantha and Paul. And the kills are just way better (courtesy of Tom Savini). Plus White just gave Jason that anger. I love the scene where Jason jumps on top of trish, and Shes like pounding the shit out of Him. The Richard Brooker Jason is not to be messed with, but the Ted White Jason would kick his ass.
i think they would fly at each other and mutally explode like the gloves in the intro to Rocky 4. I can’t think of a more even match. Think about this though: after all the abuse each one takes in their respective films, at the end of part 4 Jason is dead, and at the end of part 3 Jason’s alive. So, I vote for Brooker Jason
My vote goes to White. I’m thinking he would do away with Brooker Jason with a hacksaw to the neck followed by a crushing head twist.
Ted White all the way, his portrayal of Jason was fantastic. I really don’t get all the love for Brooker, I think hes terrible, Part 3 was terrible aswell infact that and Jason X are the only 2 Friday/Jason movies I don’t like.
Very true and good call! However, after Chris stuck an axe in Jason’s head, she took off and let him be. When Tommy sliced Jason’s head in half, he then repeatedly chopped the big man down with the machete. I wonder if the Jason in Part 3 was beat down that way if he would have been able to survive that either.
I like them both a lot, but this one goes to Ted White.
I vote for Ted White Jason, I like Brooker performance but I find Jason in Part 4 more unvulnerable, fast and sadistic
White for me, hed kick brookers butt in!!
This is a tough one because this two are my favorite icarnations of Jason Voorhees, but I\’m gonna have to go with Ted White because he was more menacing than any other Jason. But f13 part 3 is my favorite movie in the franchise and Brooker did an awesome job too.
Part 3 Jason
They’re both my favorite, and it’s too hard to choose one! But all in all, when it comes down to it….Brooker created the look & movements of what Jason evolved to. White, took the reign’s from Brooker, and added his own touch to it. So, my vote’s for Brooker(For originality) and yes, that final moment of Part 3, when he’s running towards Chris, hissing, was just menacing!!! Kinda like “Yeah, I’m gonna get you, and tap that ass again” haha
This is tough.Brooker is a kick ass Jason but i gotta vote Ted White here as i think he gives a little more depth in his performance of Jason delivering a truly sinister and sadistic aspect him not yet seen on such a scale……………KI,KI,KI,MA,MA,MA.

This is a hard decision…Jason3 (to me) is where I feel he made a name in the movies-but Jason3 did fall instantly with the axe wound, but after being hacked in the face and sliding down the machete blade, Jason4′s fingers were still twitching a little bit, so I guess I’d also have to vote for Ted White. < It even had the innocent hitchiker die and all she wanted was to eat her bananna…

Richard Brooker….
Brooker. As previously stated, I enjoy the way he sort of laughs at Chris and her fear, and He’s physically more imposing than TW. He pops Rick’s eye out of his head using just his hands, throws people, uses the harpoon gun with deadly accuracy, gets a friggn’ axe stuck in his forehead, momentarily keeps going, AND survives hanging. Whereas part IV Jason could be viewed as more mean or angrier or creative with his kills, that doesn’t take away from any of Brooker’s kills in part 3, of course he’s doing it for the exact same reasons.
Richard Brooker. I tried to think of what to say to state my case, but the fact is, they are similar enough that it would be anyone’s guess. In fact I do not believe that there is a clear cut case to be made on the behalf of either Jason. They both desplay great strength (part 3 w/Rick; part 4 w/paul). Both were defeated by seemingly inferior oppenents. The only thing I would say, is where Jason 3 took a day off after his defeat, Jason 4 got shelved for several years. Even that is not a clear case. I think it really comes down to which movie everyone is partial to.

Brooker would win because he was in 3-D. White will keep swinging at the 3-D effect, and Brooker/Jason will shove that harpoon/arrow straight into White’s eyehole.
It literally took me an hour to make this decision but my vote is for Ted White
It would be a good fight, but in the end, Ted White’s Jason would be victorious. More menacing, more brutal. Jason is really pissed off in TFC!

Ok, though I dig every shot with Ted White in final chapter, Brooker’s Jason rules anyday. His depiction
was more influental than in any other ways: mindless killing machine behavior, the hock of course.. I
also love his slightly hillbilly look. He enjoys lurking around and only then attack his victims – that
is what almost every slasher villain is about, and I think it’s cool.
My suggestions for both of Jason’s fighting skills (beside their weapons):
Part 3
Weaknesses:
Bit slow (but unavoidable in close combat)
Abilities:
Barehand skullcrush attack
Then he gets the pichfork and pirces the White 4 on it and nails him to the wall. Then he squeeses his
head with bare hands.
PArt 4
Weaknesses:
Fuck.. Beside fooling with his mommy and childhood issues I honestly can’t name at least one of them.
Abilities:
The ability to quickly rush forward and grab the opponent’s neck/ head
Dodging from slashing and stabbing attacks.
A series of fast stabbing attacks
Ok, I thought this is what it would look like if two Jasons from part 3 and part 4 would collide in the deadly showdown.
I like a barn from part 3 as a kind of stage for the battle.
The bout is about to begin!
J4 starts over leaping to J3 and grabbing his neck trying to strangle him. J3 is in frustration for some
seconds, then he punches J3 so the J4 falls into the floor. Meanwhile J3 sees a machete, grabs it and
turns to J3, only to be repeatedly stabbed in the chest by knife. J3 moans and gasps, but manage to wave
the machete. It cuts of a stripe on J4 mask and it falls away, naking J4′s horribly disfigured face.
Raging J4 pounces J3 and holds his machete compressing hand, and pushes it towards J3′s throat. J3
resists but J4 appears to have equal enormous strength. J3 then roughly kicks J4′s nuts. Though it seems
it can’t hurt the guy anyway. J4, anyway distracting for a moment and it allows J3 to get rid of the
machete blade at his throat. Machete cuts his arm. J4 starts hitting J3 madly with his hands, finally
punching him off the barn doors. This is where J3 starts getting really angry. He picks a pitchfork, what
leans onto the door and throws it into J4′s chest, resulting him to be rejected to the opposite wall.
Pitchfork stucks in his stomack and he tries to pull it off. He lost J3 out of sight for some time and
that was totally wrong. The next thing he realises is a whistling spear impaling his chest.
J3 slowly comes to bleeding and twitching J4 who stares at him with great hate in his eye. J4 rendered
defensless and J3 shows him who’s big daddy. He clamps J4 deformed head steel quick and watches through
the the eyeholes of his mask as it squeezes, crashes and transforms into liqud medley.
Hope this will deliver to those who go with Richard Brooker.
I also wanted not insult the feelings of Ted White’s fans as I’m one of them:) I think his Jason the 2nd best Jason of all time.
My vote goes to Brooker’s Jason… part 4 Jason has old hands.

Part 3
This is a tough one. Both portrayals are among my favorites. I think my favorite would have to be Part III. Mainly because when Chris stabs him in the hand and knee, he grunts then limps, showing some vulnerability which I feel makes him more believable. However, in a fight, Jason from Part IV would win!
Hey I just had a thought. Physics tells us that two objects cannot occupy the same space, and Doc Brown from BTTF said that if a person of the future comes face to face with their self of the past it could be a universe-destroying thing. Wouldn’t these two Jasons cause the universe to explode at the speed of light the moment the come into contact with one another?
I really think Booker is the worst Jason in the bunch. He is not really all that scary. He almost walks around pretty lazily and is kind of a pussy. The scene I hate the most in part 3 is when Jason (Booker) shots the girl with the harpoon and walks away with a very lazy strut. Ted White is a stud and very scary as Jason. Enough said.
brooker’s jason is creepy and got its own psycho rage unmatched by any other jason.but in a fight..ted white’s jason would win as he is MORE menacing and thinks less and does not show any emotion of pain at all. but that dont mean brooker’s jason is not the best.brooker played one of the most disturbing jason(refering to the scene near the ending where he stares from the window-looks damn psychotic and damn real…but ted white is a better jason still

Well, being that you have a good point with this, where does that bring us for (possible Mears) Friday The 13th 3-D 20??…Will he have the advantange over Brooker?

Ted White – No Contest
The Final Chapter is my second favorite Jason film (just behind Jason Lives.) Ted White’s portrayal of our favorite hockey masked murderer stood out, especially in the climax of the film. While yes Richard Brooker did a great job as Jason in Part 3-D, he didn’t bring the tension that White did, in my opinion.

I’d say its a tie, Brooker was scary with his weird retardness and White was scary he was stronger and smarter, either way, I wouldnt want either that big fumbling retard or that hulking angry bastard after me.
