Biography: "Ronny Yu is one of the latest directors who came from Hong Kong films to direct Hollywood films. Ronny is best known in Hong Kong for directing Brandon Lee in his only Hong Kong film, Legacy of Rage. He is also well known for his fantasy epic, The Bride with White Hair.
In 1989, Ronny was chosen to direct his first interntional feature for Hong Kong, China White starring Russell Wong and Steven Vincent Leigh. After 1995's Phantom Lover, Ronny went to Hollywood. He made his directorial debut in the USA with the fantasy Warriors of Virtue, which has Kung Fu fighting kangaroo-like creatures. In 1998, Ronny was chosen to direct the fourth installment of the famous Child's Play films, titled Bride of Chucky.
Ronny returned to action in 2024, directing Samuel L. Jackson in Formula 51 and in late 2024, began work on the horror film most fans have been anticipating for 10 years...Freddy vs. Jason!
