‘Friday the 13th’ Themed Poster For New Slasher ‘Hanukkah’
Bloody Disgusting just posted up a new teaser one-sheet for the upcoming slasher/comedy, Hanukkah. The new film is gearing up for filming soon and to help push the hype for the film, they sent BD their Friday the 13th themed teaser poster. The poster is hilariously and accurately rendered as the creators did a good job keeping the essence of the original 1980 film’s poster. A group of Jewish teens are getting ready to party for the holidays but are in for a Festival of Frights. With the help of a wise rabbi, they deduce that the murder victims have violated Judaic law and that their only chance at survival is to embrace their faith.”

Too bad Jason’s victims can’t just “embrace their faith” to avoid getting killed. I guess it couldn’t hurt though.

I’m honestly not one of God’s choosen people (I’m Catholic), but this does look slightly cool/amusing. Especially since, and even with me as a HUGE hardcore old school retro Slasher lover, collector & defender, I know the sub-genre of the lst three full decades has more or less been badly done to death. I might check it out if word of mouth is generally good and it isn’t too lame. Maybe on Blu Ray if it gets a high definition (HD) release.
