Web Series Ready To Go, How To Secure A Copy Later

Friday the 13th: The Obsession producer Tim Whitfield has unleashed a stream of final updates before filming begins on the web series. Pay attention, punks, because the only way you’re going to obtain a reasonable quality copy of the series is to drop a few dollars in their donation bin, but there’s plenty in it for you and the leftover change goes toward a sort of Season 2, which Whitfield describes in concept.

Proof reading the episode scripts, masks ready, locking in the secondary cast. The Timberwolf production 13 years in the making starts shooting now! After a crazy 4th of July weekend with a KILLER all day party, it’s time to get back to work.

Beginning out of sequence, Episode 3 starts shooting first with the rest falling into place after that. This first episode is actually rather calm and character driven, but some Jason moments will be shot, and we will post some pictures for you. There as been much talk about what Obsession is like on the whole, and the best way to describe it is a series for fans who grew up with Jason, but are older now and looking for something a bit deeper and more complex. It’s a series for fans by fans and shows how a film character like Jason can become part of our life and thoughts and even feelings. We are not trying to make something ‘better’ than the films, but just something different and more personal for fans.

We have gotten a few emails about donating funds to the production, and while our original Indie Go Go page is closed, we are excepting and offering perks for fan producers (DVDs, Posters etc). The $250 contribution is taken, but all the other perks are still available. Jump over to the page to see the perks, and after you can now submit a contribution right to our Pay Pal ( timberwolfphoto@gmail.com ) Be sure to submit the name you want to be credited as. The series is a go no matter what now, but we wanted to offer this to make Obsession even BIGGER as well as offer to new followers that want to take part, get DVDs and other perks as well as help the series continue after Obsession’s first 7 episodes are complete. Yes, due to the response we are now talking about doing a second ‘season’ if you will, that will take on another story, this time one that takes place in the world of “Jason” and not a fan world. Don’t miss out! Donate today!

  1. This series and all fan films in general seem kinda silly to me.

  2. They’re silly when they’re not done well, which is 95% of the time.

  3. I have to admit i myself was more on the side of ‘dead fuck’ especially after Joe made “The Storm” which was really a pinnacle of achievement on such a fan filming desire.

However, for 13 years not a month went by where someone asked me about Obsession. And no matter how many original productions we made, no matter how many DVDs we sold, people still asked.. ‘yea, your stuff is cool, but what about Obsession” lol. Then when we asked for $500 from the fans to produce it and got $1,400, we knew something was up.

While our original stuff is really taking off and out DVD and website awareness breaks records every month, I don’t see any problem with delivering at least 7 episodes this year and 5 next year based on the huge demand (and the two stories we have) since Paramount doesn’t seem to want to make another anytime soon.

While we are not as crazy as the fan produced Star trek series which has even starred REAL trek actors and have a 50,000 set… Obsession is filling a gap in some fans hearts and we are glad to do it. For every ‘dead fuck’ I get 4 or 5 emails a day now asking about this series. People love Jason in all forms. Just check out our original stuff too! :)

  4. Go for it Tim! Looking forward to watching the show.

  5. I’m a fan of your work. Can’t wait to see this!
