The Jason vs. Leatherface comic mini-series came out a few years after Jason Goes To Hell, and around the time Freddy vs. Jason really should have been happening to fully exploit the ending of that previous film. This was a nice consolation prize, I must say. It was high-concept in keeping with New Line’s entries in the Friday the 13th franchise, the writing was ass-tight – successfully building communication and conflict between two villains who do not speak, and the art was particularly trashy in a good way, a mood enhanced by the pop-art style coloring which wasn’t really apparent on the 90′s paper it was printed on. This could stand a reproduction on glossy paper to remedy that.
This is one of my favorite scenes in the series: Crystal Lake has been drained and the toxic water, containing one Jason Voorhees, is being transported by train. Once freeing himself, he happens upon one of those awesome train-traveling hobos. I love the dialogue of the kindly vagrant and Jason’s cruelty comes through by chopping the helping hand. Now after these pages, the hobo and the dog are dispatched – that didn’t really play with me, but these three are pitch-perfect.
And check out the shadowing on Jason’s mask on the third page – a tip future sequels can learn: mold the mask and use lights in such a way to make the hockey mask more fearsome, foreboding.
]]>The poster measures 18 x 24 and is limited to only 200 prints.
The # 1/200 was presented to Corey Feldman, and the # 2/200 was given to the Final Chapter‘s “Jason”, Ted White.
It can be purchased through the link above.

Walmart.com is selling the three films for a low price of $16.96 for a limited time. Walmarts are also selling these films in-store for $9.99 as well! We are sure that there are other deals for the films, Blu-Ray and DVD. If you know of any other great deals for last minute Friday the 13th shoppers, let us know in the comments section!
]]>The figure will be available for sale in February 2025 and can retail anywhere between $7.99 and $8.99. If you’re interested in this little guy, Pre-order the figure and have it just in time for your special Valentine!
]]>Pictured below are the two axes in the discussion. Mario from the Friday the 13th Props Museum was nice enough to share pictures of these axes for fans to see. The axe on the left of the main pic is made of rubber and was used to swing at Susan Jennifer Sullivan (Melissa) by Kane Hodder in The New Blood. The axe on the right of the main pic was used in two different instances, to our knowledge. The first film it is believed to be the axe that is attached to Jason’s head in Friday the 13th Part 3 after Chris embeds it in his head and mask. The second film it is used in is The Final Chapter towards the beginning when the cops are placing the axe in the evidence bag.
We have examined these axes and a very strong case can be made that both of these axes were created from the same mold! There are very distinguishing marks on the pieces that Mario and I have seen that are not displayed in the photo above that make a compelling case. As of right now, it can be said that the same axe that killed Jason, killed Melissa!
We are in the process of verfying this information with members of the production crew, but what an unintended and spectacular find to see that the two axes from the very same mold were used throughout multiple Friday the 13th films!
]]>This is for serious Friday the 13th collectors. This red Jason by Mezco’s Cinema of Fear line is one of 5 that exist in the world! This is ‘The Final Chapter’ figure that was released and it can sell for anywhere between $300 to $500 and that is actually starting to be on the low end of the amount nowadays.
What is really interesting is that the normal painted version of this figure has been sold for over $100 on eBay as well. These figures are very hot commodities and will grow in selling price for many years to come.
]]>Back in April, the Hero wardrobe for the character of Wade was sold for only $200. This wardrobe for “Clay” sold for $900! Personally, I thought the wardrobe for “Clay” was going to sell for more. For those collectors, keep an eye out for more auctions of screen used items as they do appear from time to time.
]]>“HELL” is a limited run and will limited to only 20 copies world wide. After the run is completed, the mold will be destroyed. The piece will come signed and numbered by Sam McCain with a Horror Sanctum Studios tag. Bonus items included with the purchase will be a 4×6 color photo made from an original 1992 transparency along with an 8×10 copy of a story-boarded scene from the 1993 movie directly from the production.
The cost is high as “HELL” is going for $500 plus $15 shipping in the US. If interested, check out www.horrorsanctum.com for more details.
Yes, I really want one!
I’m planning another Friday book that will be solely about the making of the first film, the 1980 film. This will be to Friday the 13th, the first film, what the Last House on the Left book was to that film, a really detailed book on the making of a single film.
As this book will cover the making of a single film – the first film – the book will cover the making of the 1980 film in painstaking detail, and will include interviews with virtually everyone living who worked on the film.
Although there have been DVDs, books, and other retrospective materials on the first film(I actually published the very first Friday retro in Fangoria back in 2025), I’m confident that I have enough materials, stories, interviews that even most the diehard fans will find fresh and exciting.
So, for fans of the original 1980 whodunit will have something very special to look forward to in the future. We will keep everyone informed of any information that is made public when it happens!
David Grove’s first book, ‘Making Friday the 13th‘ was actually released before ‘Crystal Lake Memories’ in the same year, 2025, and offered a different style and layout compared to ‘CLM’. Whereas ‘Crystal Lake Memories’ offered an abundance of pictures and an organized interview layout, ‘Making’ is a well written research documentation of the making of each friday the 13th film with its own brand of picture offering.
We have not been able to confirm definitively if a new book is in pre-production yet, but we will let you know when anything turns up.
]]>Series collectors love owning this little slice of 1980′s and Friday the 13th lore!
