Final Girl Grudge Match: Alice Hardy vs Ginny Fields
In a surprisingly lopsided victory last week, Chris Higgins beat out Trish Jarvis by a wide margin. The two heroins have always seemed to be held in equal standing, but the fans have spoken here and it looks as though Chris has the rougher exterior to get the job done. This week may yield similar results. One to the next grudge match.
Alice Hardy (Friday the 13th 1980) vs Ginny Fields (Friday the 13th Part 2)
Alice was the sweet and innocent counselor that was forced to defend herself and ultimately become a killer. Ginny was not so innocent, but still sweet and also had to defend herself against an even more sadistic killer. Which one of the original Final Girls would survive a drop-down drag-out brawl to the bitter end?

Gotta go with Ginny Fields on this one. Alice Hardy went through her fair share of hell but she basically decapitated a woman who was about 50 years old.
Ginny’s actually went toe to toe with Jason. She outsmarted him and delivered the finishing blow via machete to the shoulder.
Very tough match. Alice gets the nostalgia vote, but Ginny gets the bad ass vote. She fought Jason, put on his dead mother’s sweater and used psychology on the maniac! Ginny gets my vote.

Alice went up against Jason’s mom. Alice was much younger than Pamela Voorhees, and she still had a fight on her hands. Ginny took on the man himself…and lived. She repeatedly kicked his ass, tricked him, and slammed a machete into his shoulder. Sure Paul showed up to distract him, but in the end, Ginny owned. I doubt Alice would have lasted as long. Infact, she didn’t. Jason killed Alice-no problem.
This is a really tough one.
I love both characters.
I think I am going ot have to go with Ginny though since she used her smarts as well as a machete to outsmart and temporarily halt Jason’s antics in part 2.
Ginny Fields
She practically watched her love interest get brutally murdered with a pick-axe, survived multiple vicious attacks from Jason, and was the first person ever to bring Jason to his knees. Alice Hardy is good in her own right-think about it, if Jason never seen her decap his mom, who knows where we would all be with him today-in a fictional sense of nostalgia of course, but Ginny gets this one tooth, nail, and machete!
Ginny. Not only did she take on Jason, she also survives in the series. Alice killed Pam Voorhees, but Jason took her out with no problem. I will say that Alice put a huge emotional strain on Jason. She basically is the motivation Jason needed to kill.
Thats another tough one. I love Alice and Ginny about the same. But Im going to vote for Ginny. Dont get Me wrong, I think Alice did a great job batteling Mrs. Voorhees. She unleashed alot of attacks against Pamela, and when it came time to finish Her off Alice did it in one of the most brutal ways, a beheading. It takes alot to just chop someones head off like that.
But Ginny on the other hand is a psych major, the one true way to defeat Your enemy is to know Your enemy. She spent most of the film trying to figure Jason out. And after a long grueling battle, a kick in the nuts, chainsaw to the arm etc. She decided to try and get in Jasons head, and did She ever. I mean cmon, that might not have worked and was a ballsy choice. I just feel a psych major is more powerful than a tough girl. And why I vote for Ginny Field.

I have to go with Ginny. She fought Jason and Alice dealt with his mother….both, of course, are as looney as a three legged cow on crack…but i stick with ginny.
