KDM Productions’ Young Jason Resin Model

In the past we have discussed the now famous Kaiyodo Vinyl Jason Kits that were released in the late 80’s and early 90’s. Recently I found a resin model kit depicting young Jason from the original 1980 classic. Read the description below and if interested in purchasing, visit the auctionresinjason2

Yep, it’s a rare one, an early effort by KDM Productions that, like so many of Jason’s victims, saw a ridiculously short lifespan. The model depicts the misshapen youth from the chest up, thrusting out of those dark lake waters to snag Alice into its depths forever. Cleanly cast as two pieces of solid white resin, the sculpt is an accurate rendition of Tom Savini’s original “bald-boy” Jason, seen briefly at the end of the very first Friday (long before the maniac ever donned that iconic hockey mask.)

Beyond the cast plastic parts, the model also includes a 8 1/2″ wide x 5″ deep oval wooden base, and a bag of clear “E-Z Water” pellets, designed to create the lurid lad’s Crystal Lake environment. (E-Z Water pellets melt with heat, then harden again when cool, creating an effective watery base effect for Jason to emerge from.)

Jason is roughly a 1/4 scale sculpt, with the figure assembling to measure approx. 5 1/2 – 6″ tall atop its wooden base.

Long lost in the garage kit graveyard, KDM’s watery warrior has risen from forbidden depths once again; complete, unbuilt, and boxed.

  1. Pretty cool! By the way. Have the results of Jason vs Mrs.Voorhees been posted yet?

  2. You know, I did not post that information. I will get that for everyone and post soon.

  3. he looks like the Ghoulies inside a tolet full of puke

  4. “he looks like the Ghoulies inside a tolet full of puke”

    Interesting interpretation of this. ;)

  5. Hmm… I’m not too much of a fan. He looks older than he should, and his hand looks too big. And I don’t remember Young Jason looking so…. muscular. And I’m not a fan of the water color.
