New Friday the 13th trailer has arrived! (Updated with Youtube embedded video)
Earlier today Dusk turned you onto the new Friday the 13th poster. Now it’s time to check out the all new longer trailer compliments of yahoo movies.
The trailer even offers up a homage to the old school trailers by “counting to 13″! I’m impressed.

Good god! I am pleasantly surprised by this trailer. LOVE the fact they did a wink to the old F13 trailers by “Counting to 13″. This is badass.
Yeah I’m still not thrilled with Jason’s new look. The New sack head looks a little tight and the original hockey mask is still the best. That thick ass neck still sucks too but all in all the trailer looked cool. Loved the throwback countdown!

Although I like the trailer, it would have been more effective and frightening with a voiceover counting down the numbers while they appear on screen.

The trailer was really good. The part in it that I liked the best besides the counting to 13 and the shots of Jason is that one scene where Clay is talking to the old woman about his sister and the old woman says, “She ain’t missin’. People that are missin’ round here are gone for good.” That’s such a great line. I love it!

Whoa! Thats one mad trailer- cannot WAIT for Feb next year! Gotta kinda agree with BigTdoe tho– they certainly showed more than I expected, just hope they saved plenty of surprises for the movie, but I’m sure (hope) they know what they doin. Either way— I dont think you could ask for more– looks like they finally got Jason right!

Nope, I’m just kidding. It’s good, but not fantastic. Nice little homages and great to see some of Derek’s movement as Jason, but for once I wish they wouldn’t have spoiled close to every damn kill moment in the movie. The one by the door is the money shot though, haha. Looking brutal. I’m not disappointed but I’m not overwhelmed either. It was worth the wait.

Jason is finally back to original form, the trailer pays homage with the 13 count and the entire movie looks plain BRUTAL.
You are either nitpicking because you don;t want to admit it looks good after bashing it since it was green lit or you just stuck in the past.
Get with the times and enjoy what looks to be a sick movie!
This is great trailer! I do not get scared often these days by horror movies but this trailer did the job in two scenes: the one where Jason throws the axe and the one where Jason charges to the girl on the ground! Waww, the camera point is perfect. The movie is looking like it will deliver and will not be a disappointment. Maybe the one remake that eventually will be better than the original!
So is the hot topless water skiing chick Clay’s sister? Kick ass trailer, can’t wait until Feb.13th! The only thing that bothers me is the tunnels thing. Is that supposed to explain how Jason moves around so fast throughout Crystal Lake? Kind of cheesey if that’s the case. The only reason I ask that is because I read about it long before this trailer came out and wasn’t too sure if they were actually going through with that idea.

The countdown isn’t really revealing anything. It’s just a suggestion. I’m sure some of those are fake-out scares.

You guys have to remember, the countdown is in reference to the old F13 trailers. The first four Fridays had the countdown to 13 in each of them. At least our filmmakers are tapping back and according to some of these clips, theyre taking us back into our favorite FRIDAY moments. Lets just Hollywood doesnt taint our series further.
I always asked myself why I like F13TH so much and was shocked by the Hostel series! Well, F13TH with Jason is still, I hope, some kind of a phantasy like stories with Dracula, Freddy, … and other horror icons. The victims in these stories, although minimal, have a chance to survive the ordeal. In the Hostel kind of movies the stories are very much closer to home and reality and second once your are captured you stand no chance to survive (so they have to make up a story with an escape that is totally unrealistic) and are going to be tortured untill your death. Although Jason is just a killer as well, if you are smart enough you can escape him and secondly he kills in one stroke without torturing his victims. Instand death! So the tension of the F13TH movies comes from a great deal in answering the question: which characters will survive and how? And to Jarvis, what makes the world sick is the fact that at the moment in the Congo (Africa) there are thousands of people getting murdered every day while the world is standing by and does nothing to prevent it. Maybe you should direct your energy into that cause of preventing that massacre and getting a real life of your own. FF13TH is a fantasy and there is nothing wrong when people like these kind of movies and stories as long as it stays a phantasy.

Now see I like the whole idea of Jason using tunnles. It explains a lot in the movie. People go missing, police and such go investigating can’t find ANYTHING. Because he hides out in the tunnles. I like it. JMO

I have been drooling over this movie since I saw the teaser trailer and , I gotta say, this official trailer is KICKIN’ MY ASS!! I remember watching Friday part 3 with my older brothers when I was a kid and not sleeping in my own room for a week. Then I watched “The Final Chapter” and got scared shitless AGAIN! The bottom line is that, in the early days, Jason was SCARY. Now, in 2025, after he’s travelled to Hell, space (lame) and New York (yawn!)…..WE’RE GETTING OUR JASON BACK!! This is Jason the way he’s supposed to be. Big, ugly, scary and violent. He’s wearing a coat, so what! Tunnels? Hell, it adds to the suspense! He runs? FUCK YEAH!!

Roy bums!! I beleave cuz michael bay said there is a twist to the movie and who would think he would have the mask 1st…(besides me) … If I was to put a nice twist to the movie I would do that cuz no one would think of that and it would be nice to know why he would take the mask from shelly in part 3 cuz he had it before part 2…and in the traler all the clips the sack is in looks like the heart of the film not the 1st 10 or 15 min….and the part when he is running at the girl there is a fire in the background behind her and he has the sack on in that clip … I just don’t see all that going down the 1st 20 Min of the movie… Never has in any of the old ones ….if it is in the 1st 20 min then we got a 90 min Friday that Is like the last 15 of all the old ones and that would be some hot shit .. Let me know what yall think…

I think Bay said the twist would be within the first 15 minutes, so I’m doubting it has anything to do with the masks.
I wish the trailer wasn’t so spoilerific, but it does look like they are trying to capture a lot of the elements of the earlier films. And at 2:05, there’s totally a shot of what appears to be Alice to taking a swing at Mrs. V. That makes me giddy.
i liked the count down but i dont like what i see.its not what i thought it would be i mean come on who wouldnt wanna see a 1980s time scene and a jason with no hair.i like that there taken a different approach but no that much but we’ll all be able to judge fairly soon.my girlfriend and i went to see twilight a couple of weeks ago and i saw the poster for the new friday hanging up i was so exited
