Reader Review: "The year is 1986 and once again Paramount finds itself heavily promoting the latest installment of its successful film franchise. Already, though, the genre is feeling the effects of repetitiveness and cheap knock-offs. Still, fans get a second F13 film novelized, a single by Alice Cooper ('He's Back [The Man Behind The Mask]'), a cool video to go with it and Alice's new album with that track and 'Teenage Frankenstein' on it.
Author Simon Hawke offers a book worthy of one of the funnest films in the series. This book offers a few nice additions, courtesy of Hawke's access to early drafts of the script, while remaining faithful to the film. The only complaint is that he spells Jason's last name 'Vorhees', which he'd continue to do in the next three adaptations. Nobody's perfect, and at least he was consistent. Put on Alice Cooper's 'Constrictor' album and give this book a read." - Patrick Lemieux
