  1. R U FUCKING SERIOUS???
does anyone know if you can play a blue ray on a dvd player BECAUSE I DONT KNOW HOW I WILL SEE THOSE NEW FEATURES!

    this fuckin sux

  2. Why wasn’t “Crystal Lake Chronicles” ported over from the box set like they did for the first one on Blu-ray? Also, why isn’t the commentary track for part 3 included too? I would think they would be no brainers to be ported over.

  3. i cant wait. i’m gonna begin to transfer my collection over to blu-ray. sounds great until of course they release all 10 jasons and then i have them all on blu-ray and then they proceed to release a boxset

  4. Conflicting reports on Part 3, bluray.com has no mention of it.
HighDefdigest’s announcemet says they confirmed 2-D only, but thehdroom.com has artwork and it clearly shows 3-D. I guess will have to wait for Bill Hunt and his digitalbits team to confirm this situation….

  5. mrmike i am really hoping part 3 blu-ray will be in 3D cause that will seal the deal with me getting part 3 on blu-ray fangoria also reports part 3 will be in 3D on the blu-ray and will include 3d glasses

  6. Well movieweb.com has it listed as the delux edition of part 3 3-d with it being in 3d and shows the artwork for part two and three, and the artwork is similar to part one. If this helps anyone. So my best bet would be to say that it is being released on Blu-ray in 3-d.

And yes the 3-d blu ray does work. Outstanding.

  7. Extras on ‘Part 2′ will mirror the previous DVD, including two featurettes, newly-produced “missing murder scenes” and the original trailer.

This is from HD digest, finally the missing murder scenes from part 2. By the way you can not watch a blu ray on a dvd player. Get a blu ray it’s night and day compared to dvd. Can’t wait to here the new hd audio track. I thought the 5.1 Dolby True HD was very well done on Friday the 13th.

  8. why arent they doing this for dvd
WHY? im so sad. its too much money :(

  9. hmmm.. i already got the imports & they look just about the same…part 2 looks AMAZING in hi-def (much better than part 1) but part 3 wasn’t very impressive quality, and no 3D. i head the 3D is shit anyway…did anyone think it’s worth it to rebuy for 3D?

i think i’d rebuy for a better quality part 3 too, but i bet it will be the same.

the part 3 import has lost tales from camp blood 2 & 3 together…but they’re both complete shit, so if this one’s better i’ll sell the import on e-bay…won’t miss it.

  10. i want the missing scenes and featerettes from 3 and 2 on dvd.

  11. I hope Part III isnt in 1.85.1

  12. The highdefdigest.com website mark the Part 3 as 2.35:1 with no 3-D version, which look shitty anyway on the new DVD release.

Will get both for sure !

  13. PUT IT ON A NEW DVD BITCHES!!!! :(

  14. thedigitalbits has confirmed part 3 in 3-D

Here’s good news for you horror fans: As we predicted in The Rumor Mill last month, Paramount has just announced the Blu-ray Disc release of Friday the 13th: Part 2 and Friday the 13th: Part 3… and yes, the latter will be in 3-D! Part 2 will include 4 featurettes (Crystal Lake Memories, Friday’s Legacy: Horror Conventions, Lost Tales from Camp Blood: Part 2 and Jason Forever - all but the last in HD) and the theatrical trailer (HD). Part 3 will also include 4 featurettes (Fresh Cuts: 3D Terror, Legacy of the Mask, Slasher Films: Going for the Jugular and Lost Tales From Camp Blood: Part 3 all in HD) and the theatrical trailer (HD). It will also include a couple pairs of 3-D glasses.

  15. I’m happy that we are getting high definition quality versions of these classics. I own the uncut Blu-Ray to the original. I will get the first four on Blu-Ray and not only enjoy the superior picture and sound quality, but also the new extra features. I wouldn’t get rid of my Paramount box set because it will obviously house some extras that do not make it to these new editions, not to mention Parts 5-8, but I will be happy with my 1-4 Blu-Rays as they become available.

  16. i just hope the 3D will be better for the blu-ray this is the only friday film i am getting on blu-ray unless of course the box set comes out

  17. THIS IS FUCKING AMAZING I CANT WAIT

  18. The 3D will probably be the same on the Blu-Ray. When they made the film in 3D it was completely different technology. In theaters they didn’t even have the red/blue glasses, but clear ones. What they did for the DVD was truely the very best they can to recreate the illusion of 3D considering that the film was created for a total different format. I’m affraid the only way we’ll ever see this film the way it truely was it to see a theatrical screening or by getting yourself a projector and really expensive 3D glasses which total to hundreds of dollars.

  19. I want them to put part 3 on dvd player ’cause i dont have a blu-ray player

  20. Does anyone else feel ripped off when they bought newest edition of Part 3?

  21. YES EAGLE EYE! i mean i loved the 3D but no extras AND EXTRAS FOR BLU RAY oh my god couldnt they have made it two disc :(

and i need a blu ray.
    toooo much money cant :(
