Jason Voorhees Grudgematch: Space vs Manhattan
Last week, Hellbound Jason easily beat out the sad, droopy Versus Jason. It’s interesting to see that a Jason that barely appeared in one movie would beat out a Jason that had his own grudgematch with Freddy Krueger. Is it the actor or the director of the film that gives Jason his mojo? Well, it doesn’t get any easier for Jason this week as the next matchup shall be fun to see where the fans go with their voting.
Space vs Manhattan
Fans are still upset that Jason never really took Manhattan, but they do like his night stalker outfit. The dark slimy clothing with black gloves really streamlined Jason and probably is responsible for his stealth like movement ….. maybe? Space Jason had his own unique look sporting a newer version of a hockey mask that differed from the way the mask looked in all of the previous installments. He also had that awesome futuristic machete, which easily beat out anything that Manhattan used. You know, weapons like the shard of glass or sauna rock.
Alright, who would you vote for to completely annihilate the other?

Putting Jason in space was even more absurd than putting him in Manhatten. My vote’s for Part 8 Jason
I’ve gotta go with Pt8. Space Jason’s still got icy limbs. Pt8J had more creativity with his kills. SJ’s claim to fame was the face freeze-n-smash.

I’m not a big fan of this two films, but nothing beats the original Paramount classics, so I go with Manhattan (part 8).
Both were bad Jason movies, but I’ll go with part 8. Uber Jason looked like Lord Zedd from Power Rangers.
One thing I liked about part 8 was the way he breaths. He was underwater so long, it made sense…..unlike the rest of the movie.
Good matchup! I pick Space Jason (before uber turn). When Jason first picks up the future machette, to me, its the best Jason has ever looked outside of part 7.
I’m gonna vote Manhattan Jason.Only cos i have fonder memories of part viii as a kid.The idea of Jason in space was absurd but a fun movie nontheless.There’s nothing New Line have made that can match Paramount anyway…………..KI,KI,KI,MA,MA,MA.

If this counts RoboJason from X, then I will say Jason/Manhattan is better.
If this does NOT count RoboJason from X, then I believe JasonX was better.
I thought the look of Jason from the first part was cool. However, the RoboJason from later was the saddest thing I have seen in the whole franchise.

This is actually a tough choice, however I do have to vote for the last of the Paramount Jasons, and the final true Jason, the end of an era IMO, Part 8 for the win.

The Jason X look is one of my favourite looks. It is a nice cross between human-Jason and Zombie-Jason. Therefore my vote goes to X.

I always though that Jason looked ridiculous in part 8, so this is a no-brainer for me.
Part 8…it’s my favorite between the two…also because4 of the colors in part 8…it was more scarier to see jason in the dark alleys then to see him in a very bright space ship corridor. Jason had more humour too in part VIII and even though Uberjason looks pretty cool, I still like Manhattan’s Jason more

Manhattan Jason
I vote for space Jason. He was tough as hell, and that beginning scene where Jason kills like 7 or 8 people in a row, that was awesome. He did some more creative kills than in Jason Takes Manhattan. Like when He dispatches of the wanna be kung fu guy. He throws Him on top of a huge screw, and he kind of slides down slowly. Jason was kick ass during the first half of Jason X, but after He gets the upgrade, Hes more unstoppable than ever. Uber Jason would send slimy Jason back to the black lagoon or something.

Manhattan Jason. Pre-Uber Jason was the worst look ever for Jason. The “Simpsons Moe” nose look on the mask was goofy looking along with small amount of pubes hair on his head. And people have a problem with how Jason look in JTM? I’ll take that over the unmask Jason when he was still frozen. It didn’t even look Jason & you could barely see it either too.
Pt 8. Both of these are pretty bad. Kane’s living Jason in X looked weird. Hes clearly alive again. Kane portraying a living Jason has its benefits. I still vote pt 8.

I have all of the costumes for the most part and this is tough one. I got new Manhattan life-sized in the works too. I love both so it is tough to pick. But I think that Jason X is more brutal and badass, as he should be being that he has been through more. Uber Jason would own all even though I don’t care for the look too much. I actually like pre-uber Jason, especially when he stood in my house. I love NY Jason though too. I still think New Blood owns all though, followed by Jason Lives and JGTH.
