Jason Voorhees Grudgematch: Hillbilly vs Mamma’s Boy
Manhattan Goes 2-0 in these grudgematches as he defeats Hellbound by a pretty wide margin. I guess Jason knocking Julius’s block off after going one action packed boxing round with him is really resonating with the fans! Well, this week will offer up a unique matchup that will sure to make some do a double take before voting.
Hillbilly vs Mamma’s Boy
Jason has some mommy issues. There is no denying this fact and what better matchup than the two Jason’s that hold the heaviest burden with momma. Young Jason had only one person in his life and when he drowned, he called out repeatedly for his one true friend. At the end of Friday the 13th (1980), he lashed out at Alice in a vicious rage. It was only a dream, but it showed audiences just how nasty he could be. Hillibilly Jason sees momma Voorhees everywhere. All it takes is wearing Mrs. Voorhees sweater to completely fool Jason and make him do your bidding. When he is not distracted by momma, he can get the job done. So could a pissed off younger Jason take a serious fight to a hillbilly that tends to wimper over mommy occasionally? You decide.

Hillbilly Jason all the way. Ari Whoozits doesn’t stand a chance. Hillbilly J would stuff the mud and leaves stuck to Mama’s Boy’s head into his throat after he caught him in the trap he originally set for Scott to do this. While Mama’s Boy’s choking on lake gunk Hillbilly goes off to his lean-to and grabs the hammer from the police officer’s head and goes back to show Mama’s Boy who’s boss.

My vote goes to Hilbilly Jason. The jump scare scene at the end of part 1 is classic, but We dont really get to see what He’s capable of other than grabbing Alice and pulling Her under. Hilbilly Jason still has His human traits, but He wreaks carnage in part 2. He hadnt quite worked His way up to the crushing peoples heads with His hands, but He made good work of all the tools he could find. And Jasons more of a stalker/hunter in part 2, kind of like Derek Mears’s jason in the remake. But what makes this matchup hard is that we’re not quite sure if the jump scare in part 1 is a dream or not. Since it was inspired by the end of the movie ” Carrie”, it may have very well been a dream. But heres something to consider, in The Final Chapter towards the end when Jasons on top of Trish trying to kill her. Tommy as we all know shaves His head in an attempt to screw with Jasons mind, and it worked. One minute Jasons filled with rage trying to kill Trish, then when He sees Tommy He stops. Maybe Hilbilly Jason wouldnt try to hurt Mammas Boy simply because He is a child. But if they were both in the ring, I think Hilbilly would kick His ass. So my votes for Hilbilly Jason.
No contest here. Hillbilly Jason wins for obvious (and aforementioned) reasons. Simply put, Jason wasn’t a killer yet in the original, regardless of the dream or no dream debate.

WOW, and to think that I recently said boy Jason would probably never be in these match-ups…was I wrong. I’m making this short and simple; Mama’s boy. Yes, he may be 11, and scared in the very beginning witnessing what happenedand being alone in the woods, but Hillbilly (in comparison) is bumbling and sorta heavy-set. Mama’s boy has the advantage of having a child’s ambition in which they seem to never run out of energy. Got to go with “sweet…innocent…Jason” Mama’s boy!
