‘Kill!’ Store Opens, Kane Hodders’ Book Progresses
I really do encourage people to follow the progress of Kane’s book, Kill! at the official website www.kanehodderkills.com. Even if you’re a fan of Kane or not, I believe his biographical book will be a fascinating insight into the world of cinema, not only from a special effects standpoint, but from an overall production point of view. Of course, the book will not just be about cinema, but also Kane’s life which includes his journey growing up as a kid to his life and career in film.
Recently, the author of Kane’s book posted at the official website about his progress in writing the book and dealing with the time period in which Kane suffered his horrible burns over 50% of his body.
The day Kane and I talked about his burn was emotionally exhausting for both of us. Putting myself into that mindset and having to live it through words, for days on end, is going to be hard.

At any rate, check out the website for periodic updates on the book and also, the new store opened today! The store offers hats and t-shirts related to the book. One surprise is that replica hockey masks are being sold which will be painted by our resident Jason Voorhees costumed convention extraordinare, Wickedbeard! The purchased replica hock will also be signed by Kane Hodder. The one unique item for sale in the store is a stained glass representation of the banned Jason Takes Manhattan poster.
Keep an eye out for more to come at the official website and look for Kane’s book to be released May 2024.
This is just awesome. I am really looking forward to this book! I wonder if there will be any behind the scenes pics included?
Just visited kill store, very cool and unique stuff! The masks are amazing of course, and i even like the part 7 sun catcher with neck chain, awesome!!! Who would have thought i needed that lol.
Awesome. I cant wait to read it.
A couple of years ago, I posted some rather unkind opinions about Kane Hodder on one of these blogs. And you know what? … I take it all back. Over time, the more I read, the more interviews I watch, the more informed I make myself about this beloved series of movies, the more I appreciate Kane’s role in it. I always thought that he was great in Part 7. Part 8 was an inferior movie which of course had nothing to do with him. He was only in Part 9 for like 12 seconds, and unless he wrote the script (which of course he didn’t) you can’t blame him for that either. Currently i’m revisiting the Jason X section in Crystal Lake Memories and i’m being reminded of what a gong show that was to make. Yet he still played his part the way he had developed it, and was happy to do so.
He gave a shit about this series, and the character of Jason when no one else could be bothered. He kept some form of Jason constant and classic while a slew of writers/producers/directors simply blasted through sequels only for the sake of commerce.
Kane if you’re reading this, i’m sorry, and thank you for giving a shit about something that means alot to me…and many others. I took your role in this series for granted and I now regret that.
This blog is the first i’ve heard about your book, and I can’t wait to read it.
Take care.
