Jason Slasher Collection

Streeting Feb 3rd, 2024 - a collection of the 3 New Line Jason pics, now under the banner of Warner Home Video. These are simply the same editions from the past, but thinking of the future this set will be a good gateway for new fans to pick up the old flicks. It also contains a discount pass for the new Friday flick. Click the image for the full size retailer sell-sheet.

  1. Pretty cool artwork. Definetly a good approach for new fans that don’t have the films and they’ll get a discount on the new flic. I don’t mind paying the full price since I’m not going to purchase something I already own just for s discount on a theatrical movie. I don’t understand how Warner has rights to the release of New Line flics. Is that new or something?

  2. Yay!!!!! Just what I wanted! The three worst Friday the 13th film in one shitty boxed set! This franchise stopped being good when New Line inquired the rights to Jason. I am really looking forward to the reboot though. I like what I see so far.

  3. yea exactly j middigy….. we are gonna already supporth newline/warner by seeing the remake. If they wasnt more of our $$$ at least reissue the three “fridays” with new extras or something. Why would we buy the same exact ones we already have??? just cuz they are in one box??

  4. “Yay!!!!! Just what I wanted! The three worst Friday the 13th film in one shitty boxed set!” LOL! Funny shit man! Although I personally like FvsJ but still funny nonetheless.

  5. meh.

    I repeat:

Yay!!!!! Just what I wanted! The three worst Friday the 13th film in one shitty boxed set! This franchise stopped being good when New Line inquired the rights to Jason. I am really looking forward to the reboot though. I like what I see so far.

  6. I already have Freddy Vs. Jason and will not buy Jason Goes To Hell or Jason X. Those are the worst Jason movies ever IMO. In fact I can get into the new Friday The 13th for free since my friend works at the theater. However so stoked for this movie. And I believe I heard something about Paramount releasing the first 3 movies again in a set around when when the new Friday comes out.

  7. In response to Pete, the answer is simple economics on both counts. Warner Bros. had already owned New Line, but with the studio not performing as well as they like (making money), they “rolled” the studio under their “banner” to help control costs (aka shut down the part of the business that doesn’t make enough money). People will buy these again for the discount, because they think they are getting a good deal. I will buy them because I gave my entire collection to my nephew (who is as big a fan as I am) and haven’t had these in almost three years. Worth it, though.

  8. by far the worst movies of the series. Jason X is in my top 10 worst movies ever made list. I hate that movie with such passion.

  9. so they give us the first 3 and the last 3, but what about the middle movies? 4-8?! wheres that fucking boxed set!?!

  10. Definetly agree w/ some of you about JX and JGTH being the worst of the series.

  11. “Yay!!!!! Just what I wanted! The three worst Friday the 13th film in one shitty boxed set! This franchise stopped being good when New Line inquired the rights to Jason. I am really looking forward to the reboot though. I like what I see so far.”

    *LMAO*

Dude, that’s ecaxtly what I was thinking, and wanted to post the other day. ;)

The bottom line: I already own all three, mostly because I’m a Slasher and Giallo Completeist, and that means I love and prefer to “own’em all”. But there is no way I’m buyin’ the three worst films in the series again. Indeed the sereis went to Shit (Hell) after New Line aquired the rights to there. The original series should have finished out it’s original run at Paramount, un-caring bastards that they are, with more care towards the films (for example, Jason Takes Manhatten needed the extra two or three million to truely live up to it’s name, ect).

By the way, I left you a reply on the official one-sheet Blog. Enjoy …

  12. Awesome, I don’t own any of these, and yes they are the worst, but even the worst Jason film is the BEST FILM EVER. lol.

  13. so they give us the first 3 and the last 3, but what about the middle movies? 4-8?! wheres that fucking boxed set!?!

you know there has already been a box set.

  14. Hey guys, here is a damn fine new write-up on over at the re-vamped Fangoria blogs. Enjoy:

    Pretty good, I gott admit.

Also they report that the long waiting Ghostbusters game (fucking HORAY! Huge Ghost-Head here) has finalyl found a home at Atari and shall be comin’ out next Summer. Awesome. Somethin’ to keep me entertained before my 3-years planned Europe vacation.

    Later amigos.

  15. To J Low:

You should pay to see the movie and support it. That is, if you want to see another made.

  16. ya jason goes to hell is the worse in my opinion and adam marcus is a tool hes so arrogant about his shitty movie. These movies are made for the FANS, not for himself. Creative additions to the idea are welcome but to mess up the formula us fans LOve… thats a slap in the face.

Would have to agree with ya there. I’ve re-read through my copy of Crystal Lake Memories book twice now, and I found both Adam Marcus and Joseph Zito to be the biggest, arrogant sounding Pricks. Nothin’ good about’em. And while I’m a huge Part V defender, sleazy, last Exploitation style Slasher fun instealment of the series, I also find from interviews and from what I’ve heard that Danny Steinmann (Part V, Savage Streets) is a total sleazy douche bag.

Beyond that, the rest of the film makers sound decent enough. Although I do wish Mr. Steve Miner, who helmed Parts 2 & 3 (my favorites) awas more involved with the 2024 DVD boxset and with the book. Ah well.

Great post, CutYouUp. Fuck Adam and his movie. I thought on the commentary track that he sounded like a big dork, anyway. Jason Goes to Shit should have never been made.

  18. this is actually less than what was previously released..they’re all three rated R…JGTH unrated has always been available.

even though they’re the crappiest of the series, it would be nice to get some blu-ray copies.

once again, more garbage that the true fans would have no reason to buy…that’s all we ever get for this series. it’s like they only care about getting a quick buck from people who are new to the series…not a smart way to do business.

  19. Im definitely gonna buy this!

  20. So yeah these three aren’t the best in the series…blah, blah, bleeh, blah…

    change the tone guys.

out of these 3 i enjoyed fvj most. i would totally buy this.

and as for sneaking into movies J LOW: dude, get a clue…the only way to keep these movies going is by paying to see them and buying original copies and not pirated copies. after all the people behind the camera need to eat too.

  21. im gonna get this 2024 will be very exciting

  22. Wow. wow why would anyone buy this box set? JGTh was terrible. Jason X? Dont even get me started. FVJ was a big letdown. New Line Fridays can rot in hell for all I care.

  23. I liked JGTH and Jason X. Hated FvJ though

  24. i loved them all

  25. these 3 movies are all GREAT!

  26. that jason movie is going to be soo badass maybe even greater than the old ones i want to see it so bad because i love the horror of these films
