Convention Season Begins: MonsterMania This Weekend
We have been updating you since the beginning of the year on all of the conventions that are happening in 2024. Numerous Friday the 13th cast and crew will be out to meet the fans throughout the United States. This weekend, if you live in the New York, New Jersey or Philadelphia area go check out the MonsterMania convention taking place at the Crown Plaza Hotel in Cherry Hill, NJ from March 12th through the 14th.
There is a very impressive list of horror genre veterans in attendance, but since we are a Friday the 13th website, we will list the relevant actors and crew from the franchise. In attendance will be Kane Hodder, Tom Mathews (Tommy, Jason Lives), Jeannine Taylor (Marcie, Friday the 13th 1980) and Chris Carnel (Stunt Coordinator, Friday the 13th 2024).
Now, Tom Mathews is not listed as showing up at many conventions this year, so this would be an awesome opportunity to meet the last Tommy Jarvis. Also, This is believed to be Jeaninne Taylor’s first convention ever! Check out MonsterMania’s website to see all of the guests and events and if you go, let us know about your experiences so fans that cannot attend get a feeling of what it is like to be at these type of venues.
Jeannine Taylor was as added. “marcie” from first f13 and i think its her first convention! i’ll be there gettin stuff signed! there also doin a Cory Haim tribute and i believe showing lost boys. Not on the site. Next week is saturday nightmares in jersey city with Harry Manfredini and Tom Savini. I will have pic from both events doubt i will get chris carnel autograph.
I had read she was a last minute add, but for some reason I thought it was for another convention either this or next month. Thanks for the heads up!
I am taking care of my mom right now in NJ and will be heading down on Saturdaym will be a nice warmup for HorrorHound in 2 weeks!
i can’t wait to meet Thom Matthews at Friday the 30th. I loved him in part 6 and return of the living dead.
I’m like 20 min away from the convention and have gone many times. Think i might head over sunday if i get a chance. Always a good time between the guests and vendors.
Just wanted to no if Jeannine Taylor showed up and if so does anyone have a photo with her from the show that they can post?

I was there and met kane, thom, and jeannine. all sign my book and jeannine signed my poster. she was really nice for it beenin her first convention. she had a good line as well. I held up the line a bit cause we chatted and staff member was a fan of f13 as well so we all talked for a bit. 10mins at lease guy behind me was doin the line dance thing cause he was waiting. i got there at 5:30 on friday. That guy had a ton of time to wait! good show!
