Friday Conversation: The Final Conversation

Well, everyone, I have been posting these Friday Conversations for well over a year now, at the request of a few visitors. The idea was to give the visitors to this website a chance to discuss and debate topics relating to the series on a weekly basis. Every Friday a new topic would be posted and we would get come pretty good dialogue running. However, I think the usefullness of this weekly post is about to become obsolete with the Forum debuting by the end of the month. Since next Friday is Christmas Eve, it figures to be a slow day on the website and busy day for most everyone with their families. So why not use today as a fond farewell to a blog regular.

It has been a lot of fun coming up with the topics for everyone to discuss, but soon everyone will have the ability to talk about whatever they want, so it is an exciting time to be a part of this website. Now that the fans will be able to create their own topics of discussion on this website, I wanted to know what is the very first forum thread that you are going to create in relationship to the Friday the 13th series?

  1. First of all farewell to the “Friday Conversations.” They were very fun reads with, as JF mentioned, some great back and forth’s. But soon we will have the forum back and that is beyond exciting!

I think the topics that I look forward to will be in relation to fan fiction/fan films, conversations on the series and art work related topics. Whether or not I start them depends on how fast others are to post their ideas and thoughts but regardless I look forward to the great discussions ahead!

  2. Thanks for keeping this going!

First topic…Are we going to get a new movie in 2024? There are 3 Friday the 13ths in 2024. Will there be a movie then?

  3. Farewell “conversations”…I think Ill begin a thread on a idea for a sequal to JX or a F13 vido game.

  4. Glad everyone enjoyed our Friday Conversations! My first topic is going to be, “Will Wendago Come Back To Our Site And Hang Out With Us Once Again?” Unfortunately, I think our Jason X haters may have kept that from ever happening again. :(

  5. Thanks Jasonfury for the friday conversations. always looked forward to them when friday comes around. Looking forwards to new features of the site. Happy Holidays yall!

  6. I really enjoyed the friday conversations. JF did a great job, coming up with different topics of discussion, all year long. Thanks for all his efforts. I am looking forward to the forum, too.

  7. I’ll miss these conversations on here. It’s cool that we can all post whatever we want soon, but your topics were always good. No repetitious crap. I enjoyed talking with everyone on here, because you can’t talk F13 with everybody. Time to move on to the forum :)
First topic I’ll discuss will probably be related to F13 collections. I’m intrigued to see what everybody has.

  8. I’ll start a thread asking everyone who they thing should play Tommy Jarvis in a future Friday movie.

I like the idea of having 3 age groups.

    Young Tommy.
    Early 20’s Tommy
Older… much older Tommy (maybe 40’s? at least?)

  9. jasonsfury, I’m hoping you will continue posting your own topics on the Forum. I think everyone agrees you’ve been pretty consistent in producing some great conversations.

I guess if I have any ideas for Forum topics right now, they all have to do with future entries in the series.

  10. jasonsfury, I’m hoping you will continue posting your own topics on the Forum. I think everyone agrees you’ve been pretty consistent in producing some great conversations.

You got it. I will be in there with everyone, talkin’ up the best horror franchise in the world. ;)

  11. Indeed, another great addition to the site/blogs comes to an end. I will stand here on this day and say jasonsfury has really kept this site alive with all of the great updates and extensive knowledge of the franchise.

No disrespect to Klyza because he has done wonders with this site, but sometimes I have the mind that jasonsfury is the webmaster because of all he has done. Especially since John has been tied with the Sleepaway Camp IV: The Survivor project.

    Jasonsfury, you da man!

  12. Well, farewell to the Friday conversations. That was one of My favorite things about this site. But the forum sounds cool. I have never been on the old forum before, so this will be kind of new to Me. And the topic I would pick would be to observe all the bloopers throughout the series, I always have fun pointing them out. Like the other night I was watching A New Beginning, and after hearing about Pams sweater disappearing and reappearing on this site I paid close attention to the sweater. That was hilarious, it appeared and reappeared alot of times. Theres so many bloopers Ive caught throughout the series, and I know theres many more I havent caught yet. I just think that would be an interesting topic to discuss. So RIP Friday conversations, they will be missed. But I look forward to the forum and the return of the Fridaypedia.

  13. Thank you for the idea of the Friday Conversation. It was a great idea that invited opinions from fans from all over. It built a sense of community and that’s no small feat.

As for my first topic… I haven’t the foggiest idea.

  14. Glad to hear you are sticking with us JP. I know there will be a lot of topics going on but I was hoping you was going to stay in the blog because it just wouldn’t be the same without some Fury’s Topics.
