  1. Actually, you won’t see that from Part 3. The house burned down a few years ago. There is footage of them talking about in one of the special features on one of the DVD’s or somewhere, but the house is no longer there. I believe the barn is, however.

I’ve been to Camp Daniel Morgan in Covington, GA, which is where Part VI: Jason Lives was filmed. Most everything is still in tact.

  2. Correct you are Derek, that info can be found here.

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YCdODRISj4k

  3. The house in part 3 is burned down. They said it in the extra features on “His Name Was Jason.” The Jarvis house from part 4 still looks exactly the same. I would love to stay there for a week. haha

  4. That sucks that the house from part 3 burned down. At least the barn is still ok.

  5. i wanna see where the remake was shot

  6. It was pretty neat to see how little the barn from part 3 has actually changed in the past 20+ years.

  7. I find it fun to google map/earth some of the addresses I can find of filming locations. Do any of the rest of you do that? Please post liks if you have them.

  8. I had sex with a guy in that house before it burned down.

  9. Gay Guy…Then why didn’t you go down with the flames then? LOL

  10. dan thats a good idea.

  11. Totaly off subject guys but im Scottish, does any one if & when the delluxe edditions are being released in the uk?I want to get them as there is newish versions out over here with white artwork featuring a different weapon & hockey mask on each eppisode but dont wanna fork out if the delluxe editions are coming? are these versions worth paying for? anyone shed any light???????????????????????????? Be much apriciated?????????????????????????????

  12. I stayed in Blairstown,NJ last summer w/ my wife & it was alot of fun seeing & walking thru all the spots. We ate lunch in the diner from pt.1 too. Pretty cool overall. Couldn’t find the cemetary that they pass in the begining or the camp itself though. I’d like to post/contribute my pics on this site actually.

  13. @ Dan:
Yeah, I love using Google Earth for filming loctions as well.

Check the the GE Horror location thread in the forum:
    http://www.f13community.com/board/showthread.html?t=5505

Here are the F13th locations I have found so far:
    Friday the 13th:

Crystal Lake Main Street (Blairstown NJ)
    40°58’59.69″N 74°57’36.07″W

    Camp Crystal Lake (Camp Nobebosco)
    41° 3’43.41″N 74°56’42.49″W

    Friday the 13th Part 2 :
    Packanack Lodge
    41°43’39.54″N 73°25’7.16″W
This is definitley the lake from the movie and I think the above location is the lodge (the kenwood camp is to the west, but I think they only used the beach sequences there)

    Friday the 13th part 3:
The burned ground at Higgins Haven and the barn:
(use the historic image feature and check the pics from before 2024 to see the houswe still standing)
    34°29’32.36″N 118°29’46.09″W
I actually found the location all by myself after a lot of research(thanks to this article http://www.thefreelibrary.com/ABANDONED+HOUSE+NEAR+MOVIE+RANCH+DESTROYED.-a0144498861 ). The other coordinates/adresses on the internet just got you to a western town (that also belongs to the Veluzat company, but wasn´t used in the movie of course)

    Jason lives
    The camp
    33°39’6.34″N 83°35’37.68″W

    The cemetary:
    33°36’51.96″N 83°54’58.64″W
The adress of the cemtery that is given on the f13thfilms.con site if WRONG! There is a “New Covington Cemetery” on that adfress, but that´s a liquor-store (not joking, google for it!). The real adrees of the cemetery is a little more to the west on the same highway: 9189 Highway 278 NE (info from dagonbytes.com).

Freddy vs Jason – The location of the camp (Buntzen Lake)
    49°20’26.50″N 122°51’26.88″W

Well, you can find Byrnes lake Alabama on Google Earth, but it´s hard to identify the filming location. The area is more like a river than a lake. The dock that you can see very clear there is a fishing dock and obviously not the one from the movie. If someone can give the exact coordinates where TNB was filmed I would be grateful.

I also need the coordinates of the Jarvis House in Topanga Canyon. I´ve benn “flying” over Topanga Canyon for hours (via GE) but without a luck.
This article http://www.thefreelibrary.com/TOPANGA+BODY+3RD+IN+PAST+8+MONTHS-a083807661 mentions that the Kelly Gulch at 1807 N. Topanga Canyon Blvd was used for the filming of F13th and other movies, but I am unable to identify< the Jasrvis House there. If anyone found it, please reply..

There are no exact locations known for the Part 5 location. Oxnard, Camarillo and Agoura and Thousand Oaks are thrown around all over the net as the locations, but finding the farm there is like looking for the needle in the haystack.

I doubt I have to give you the coordinates of the Times-Square sequence in JTM.

  14. Great stuff, Germaniac. Thanks for sharing. I will see about getting this added to the our website here.

  15. You are great at this Germaniac. You seem to be able to use google earth very well. We have found a lot of the same places. The only one I can add is this.
    http://maps.google.com/maps?q=Monticello%20Street%2C%20Covington%2C%20GA%20The%20Porter%20Memorial%20Library&rls=com.microsoft:en-us:IE-SearchBox&oe=UTF-8&sourceid=ie7&rlz=1I7GGIE_en&um=1&ie=UTF-8&sa=N&hl=en&tab=wl

It’s the location of the “sherrif station” in part 6. If you look nort (to your right) you can see something that looks a lot like the screen shot seen here. http://fridaythe13thfilms.com/bts/locations/part6.html

Any more stuff to add? This could be a FUN ONGOING THING.

  16. Well sorry man. That link was off too, but closer. If you use that second link, move forward to the intersection in the direction of the clock tower (N). Look left after the light, and you will see the sherrif station.

  17. Oh shit, I just feel like Indiana Jones finding the lost Ark! I have found the ANB Pinhurst / Unger Institute ranch via Google Earth (thanks to the information Scabboy and Mr Dixon provided on the f13community-forum and image comparison with the DVD). I am 97,8% certain that this is the spot!
It´s to the north of the Ventura Fwy (since the Freeway goes vertical there is no “east” as stated by Mr Dixon) right between Camarillo and thousand Oaks.
    34°14’8.63″N 118°56’5.98″W
I compared the Google-Earth image with scenes from the movie:
(The following times in the movie are taken from the euopean version (PAL) so it could be a bit off to the NTSC version).
When Tommy arrives at the institute in the blue van (at 8 Min 6 secs), you can see that there is an space in front of the house with one big tree … just like the single you can see on GE! And you can also see those tress 8I guess orange trees) in the movie and G-Earth.
At 9 min 9 secs you can see a garage or something like that through the w which would be one of the buidlings to the north) window. When the police arrives at 14 min and 4 secs you can see the barn at the left of the screen. The police-car must have come from the north and the barn is the building with the shinning roof in GE.
When Ethel says “Would you shut the fuck up” you can see the power-lines in the background.
The scene were the girls are doing laundry and Joey gets killed has to be the area to the south. If you look closely in the movie you will see that there is actually a small path around the grass.
And the proof that convinces me that this is the location: When the police arrives after Joey murder at 20 min 22 you can see the big structure of that thing that´s holding the powerlines at the top left of the screen (just above the house). Now guess whats 200 meters to the southeast of the Google-arth lcation, creating a big shadow?! (I did not come across any other power-lines near Camrillo BTW).
The small building to the east of the main house probably is the pavillon the group had breakfast in the next morning.
So the adress would be 9442 Santa Rosa Road. At the 9428 Santa Rosa Rd Street View you can get a good look at the south side of the building .
Big thanks to you, Scabboy, and Mr Dixon!

Now I just need to find the Jarvis House in Topanga Canyon and the place in New York when Jason thrashes the ghettoblaster after coming out of the subway .

  18. Not too far from the ‘A New Beginning’ location is “Jason Goes to Hell” in nearby Thousand Oaks. Does anyone know the exact filming location?

  19. try this site for photos of the house. my dad built it and that’s where I grew up….the other main house in the film was built only for the movie and was torn down immediately after shooting was completed…

    http://fridaythe13thfilms.com/bts/locations/part4.html

  20. Im going to find that ranch no mater what.It wouldnt kill the woman for me to just see it from the dam drive way.Hell I would be proud of it.
