Huge horror fan. Mainly the slasher sub genre. Die Hard Friday the 13th fan. I'm not like a lot of viewers. I love the entire series. Yeah, there are things about some films that I don't like. But I can honestly say that I don't hate a single Friday flick. I love to write and to bring info to people. So this site and my love for that go hand in hand. 1. thanks boss. i just hope that the new friday the 13th could distroy the box office to garantie us more f13 sequels.
have a great year u too!

  2. Yeah, Happy New Year everyone!!! I just got my Friday the 13th poster ordered today. I already have the teaser version, framed and displayed proudly on my wall. I must say that I am getting more and more excited each day as we approach February 13th…I hope 2024 is an awesome year for horror. I know I’m not alone when I write that there’s a part of me that wishes all these remakes or reimaginings wouldn’t happen, but it’s only because I grew up watching these funrides and I treasure them. But I understand the filmmakers’ want fresh ideas put on-screen and that only the truly great ones are worth opening new doors to. I love that the team of the new Friday are dedicated fans themselves (that’s a +). After all, I’m going to film school, and I know if I ever got the great privilege to make a Friday the 13th, I would do it. Maybe some day! Come on February! PS-It’s official…Rob Zombie is writing and directing H2. Hopefully 2024 will be a good year…

  3. Happy New Year! Come on February 13th!

  4. Happy New Year, everyone. I’m battling a pretty rough hang over, but I think I’ll survive. ;)

Peace & love to all, and may ‘09 be a wonderful, playfully fight filled year! …
    :D

  5. Happy New Year, guys!

  6. Happy New Year!

  7. Remember, if you have HDNet, tonight begins the Friday movies in Hi-Def!!

  8. Well, part 3 is on right now, and I am not impressed. HDNet has apparently taken a copy of the film they have–a very dirty print I must say–and are just broadcasting in 1080i. It\\\’s not true HD, so I\\\’m not getting my hopes up for Final Chapter. Bummer.

  9. I personally think…that If they don’t really shape up now for these new re-releases of the first 3 films coming in less than 5 weeks. Then even with “His Name Was Jason” 2 -disc set, even then it’s just going to wear people to the point of where they are going to stop buying these movies. Guess they think just because they put out a new dvd every year of the same shit with just new extras that people are just going to continue to buy it forever. The sad part is when they finally do release all the movies in UNCUT format then they are going to loose so much money in the market because people are tired of buying the same shit every time. Hell, you can go on youtube right now and see uncuts scenes may be not in the perfect form but they are there for the public. I have the first movie UNCUT and it’s play perfect in my DVD player. I can tell anybody where to go and obtain the UNCUT of the first and Friday the 13th 3 3-D. Then the second mistake was not putting The Final Chapter in the box set when they knew that was the one that ended the first series. What the hell is up with that crap?

  10. ok did anyone besides me see the tv spot for the new friday? it was on during the NHL winter classic…im surprised no one said anything about it or posted it!

  11. Nope, I was watching the movies on HDNet. My box set on the upconvert looks better, so I am disappointed–for now. If a remastered source material were to have been used, I think it would have looked better.

Does anyone have the link to the scene where they find Mrs. Jarvis dead? I can’t find it on YouTube.

Gotta agree whole heartedly. I feel worried cause I don’t mind buying some updates myself, cause I feel on day we’ll no doubt get unrated/uncut versions, remastered with more fresh and better sounding audio options, but I agree whole heartedly that they’ll have to stop with this shit soon. One more last boxset is what we need, everything remastered in HD with uncut scenes and fresh audio opions, new commentary tracks and original poster art.

That way no can can bitch. They need Peter Bracke’s excellant input I feel, by the way. Just my own two cents.

Fabulous post there, Critic. Gotta say that I agree 100%. Someone had to say it, indeed…

  13. Thank you Michael Bay…Now your team has just created what just might be a huge breakthrough in the entire series. I was not only moved but entertained by The Texas Chainsaw Massacure. Your team took a classic and turned it right back around 30 years later and re-shaped it into a whole new franchise. No thanks for the old series of Friday the 13th Part 5, 8 and Jason Goes To Hell for fucking up the series. Which the gore in Jason Goes To Hell was just over the top and that’s what made that movie good. Part 5 was a piece of shit…one they got a porno director “Thank you mama’s boy” for not including all of the nudity. Second..they got an abulance driver to be Jason “Come On People” My grandmother could have played that part better. The only act the old hag would have done is get a shot gun and blow the shit out some people for spitting on her front pourch. Last, warning now to everybody is don’t buy Version 2 on the internet from anybody. Part 8…that was all fucked up “well except ms pretty at the opening scene of the movie. Too bad she had to die, but why in the hell was they taking Jason out of the camp grounds and putting him in NYC? I really need to know what them bastards were smoking during the making of Jason takes Manhattan. I need to say no more on this subject. I’m really excited that Rob Zombie has stepped up again to re-create his hit movie Halloween last year. Maybe they will finally release Rick Rosenthal’s version of Halloween 2 Uncut and fully retored in it’s original format.
