Adrienne King, Other Scream Queens Experience “The Butterfly Room”
This film was reported on back in February by various movie sites, but I thought I would plug it again as it indeed has assembled quite the list of Scream Queens! Adrienne King will not be the only actress that holds scream time, she will also share filming duties with other notable Scream Queens such as I Spit On Your Grave’s Camille Keaton, HALLOWEEN’s P.J. Soles and A Nightmare On Elm Street’s Heather Langenkamp. Read on for the entire break down of the film and visit the imdb.com page for more information.
The movie focuses on an 11-year-old girl, Alice, who entices lonely older women, befriending them under false pretenses and worming her way into the “empty nests” that are their lives. But one day she meets Ann, and shortly thereafter disappears. Ann, it seems, is a very busy lady. She’s busy throwing acid in an elevator shaft (to make a body disappear); she’s busy with an handyman (Ray Wise) and his assistant, who both know too much; and she’s busy with her estranged daughter Dorothy (Heather Langenkamp), whom she hasn’t seen since the dark and terrible days of her childhood. Meanwhile, Ann’s next-door neighbor Claudia, a single mother, asks Ann to mind her daughter Julie for a weekend. Will Julie discover what happened to Alice? Will Dorothy realize something is horribly wrong in time to save other kids from what she went through? And what exactly is in the butterfly room?
This should be interesting. Ladies from all 3 slasher films after so many years? Nothing like rebooting the “Scream-queens” legacy then placing them all in one film. I’ll definately be checking this out.
JasonFury:Hvae you seen that new ?Steve Minor Film? That Black waters of Echo pond or w/e? I have been personally talking with Mr. Harry Manfredini as of late and he told me he did the score for it as well. (I just wanted to share that with you guys, it definately is an honor to be talking with such a legend…
Sure have, Corey. I posted a story about the film a few months back. http://fridaythe13thfilms.com/blog/see-harry-manfredinis-new-movie-this-april/
I asked Harry if they were going to release a soundtrack for the film, but he said at this time there were no plans. The movie has received mixed reviews, but it is a good time. I’s horror after all!
“It’s horror after all!” -truest words of all! Mixed reviews always raise an eyebrow or two, but you know what? That’s what makes it good! At least for a debatable discussion-I think somehow, we all are the blood for horror movies-no pun intended!
