Friday the 13th Movie Prop Collection (Updated)

UPDATED: I just received the magazine, Virus. I have scanned some of the pages within the magazine and Mario was nice enough to translate the article about his museum. An exerpt from the article is below.

How do you obtain such sought after pieces?

Well, there are different ways where I obtained them. New Line Cinema run some kind of promotion auction during the release of Freddy vs. Jason back in 2024. They auctioned off one of the original Jason masks and his costume… these pieces ended up in my collection finally.

Other pieces, especially from the older sequels, do come directly from people involved in the production of these films. Actors, who took “souveniers” home after he filming, or directly from FX guys who created the props back then. Each prop is covered by it’s very own background story.

What piece was most challenging to come by
The was no piece that was easy to get actually. Especially with costumes, it is pretty tough to get everything completed. Here I can tell proudly that I recently got the final missing piece for my Jason X costume, to complete the set. – The boots! During my last trip to the states, I met up with Kane Hodder, who kept the boots after the filming wrapped. He wore them during conventions as some kind of “insider gag”. He gifted them to me.

  1. This is really cool. Its so funny that they have Jason’s rotten fingernail from the final chapter haha. Its really cool to see the cleaver that was used to kill Jimmy (Crispin Glover). Theres nothing in the part 2 section so I’d be interested to see what props they have.

  2. Man, I’d love to own just one screen used Jason Mask

  3. I would love to have The New Blood and Jason Goes To Hell masks. Those look awesome in his collection.
