Help Decide Friday the 13th Themed Music For FearJam at Friday the 30th Reunion

30thbannerAri Lehman is organizing the musical festival, FearJam at Friday the 30th, being featured at the Friday the 13th reunion happening August 13, 2024. He is almost done booking the bands, but wanted to know what bands you think should be featured at the event. There have been many bands mentioned already. Read Ari’s description below and comment who you think should play at the largest Friday the 13th event ever organized!

After the MAJOR success of FEAR JAM at the last FEAR FEST which included FIRSTJASON, THE HORRIFICS, MACABRE, MICHALE GRAVES and EERIE VON, I am glad to report that there will be an even BIGGER & BETTER FEAR JAM at “Friday the 30th” than ever before! FIRSTJASON will perform and host some of the top names in DEATH METAL, GRINDCORE & HORROR PUNK, hopefully OUTDOORS!!!

MANY THANKS FROM CAMP CRYSTAL LAKE!!!

What could be a better? A weekend in Dallas, Texas at a World-Class Horror Convention dedicated to F13, where you can go swimming in a lake with TWO of the Crystal Lake Jasons, have a few rounds of PAINTBALL in the woods with F13′ers, and then ROCK OUT with FIRSTJASON Hosting the finest in HORROR PUNK & DEATH METAL!

Hey People! The theme of “FRIDAY THE 13TH” is what we will celebrate live onstage at FEAR JAM – and that means Maestro Harry Manfredini will be a participant of course. Therefore, let’s all try to come up with bands that are connected to the F13 theme. Now – who is this CAMP KILL YOURSELF? I will look into that, for instance, and WEDNESDAY13 seems to be an obvious choice too. Who else has heard of any bands that have some connection to Friday the 13th? Speak Now – we are on the verge of final selection! Time marches on, and CAMP BLOOD IS COMING!!!

  1. camp kill yourself is cky. bams brother from mtv. there pretty good.

  2. Is Mortician still around? I think they had an album, or at least a song called “Camp Blood.”

  3. Wednesday 13 is a GREAT choice! W13’s song “‘Til Death Do Us Party” is an homage to F13, so they’d obviously fit the bill!

While not directly related to Friday the 13th, I’d highly recommend Calabrese, a horror punk band from AZ. All their songs would fit in just fine (hey, their first album was titled “13 Halloweens”…so they at least have a connection to the number!). They’re great live, and the guys are just fanatical horror fans themselves, so I know they’d fit in perfectly! Here’s their website: http://www.calabreserock.com/

  4. What about the obvious choice? Alice Cooper! He could pull out track featured in Jason Lives. THAT I’d love to see!

  5. How Drowning Pool simply for the fact of stalk and slash anthem “Bodies”.Or Steel Panther for that old school “80’s” vibe when slasher movies were in their golden era.Slipknot would be an obvious choice but would prove to costly.Slayer would be the ultimate choice to headline but again would be too expensive……….KI,KI,KI,MA,MA,MA.

  6. Alice Cooper RIGHT ON! He sang the Jason anthem. I bet he hasn’t played that song since the 80s.

    And CKYnot?

  7. Oh Alice Cooper definitely, drowning pool, and eminem has been know to make jason references in alot of his songs

  8. Oh how the ass-rock will be flying at this one

  9. Of course, Alice Cooper would be incredible…although I have a feeling he’d be a little out of the organizers price range!

  10. Yea, I don’t think Alice Cooper will happen, but you never know…..

    Oh, and crystallakehiker09

Oh how the ass-rock will be flying at this one

What the hell do you mean??? :)

  11. misfits !

  12. Always love Alice Cooper’s “Man Behind the Mask,” but has anyone else besides me heard the version done by One Man Army and the Undead Quartet? I’d say it’s a great cover of Alice’s classic.

  13. Excellent! Thanks for the suggestions everyone, and Many Thanks to jasonsfury for posting the question. CALABRESE is a definite candidate, as is MORTITIAN. I will be contacting both of these bands this week as well as CKY. If we all work together, we can grow FEAR JAM, and be able to invite major stars like the great Alice Cooper to future events. WEDNESDAY13 is also a definite candidate. My aim is to put together a show with a wide range of styles, all connected by the common subject matter of Jason Voorhees & F13. What we are offering here is a unique experience only available to the attendees of FEAR JAM, one that will include the finest Horror-themed Rock bands, Maestro Harry Manfedini live onstage, with a superb multi-media presentation, all hosted by myself and FIRSTJASON. Keep the suggestions coming! STAY METAL – Ari Lehman/Jason The First
