Jason Takes Manhattan Hock and Undermask

maskThis is a great looking set from Jason Takes Manhattan. The set was created by Creeping Death Productions. The hock is made from ABS and comes with leather straps and buckles. I think this has a very real look and feel to it. Although I dislike the look of Jason at the end of the movie, the detail of the undermask looks great and pretty damn near screen accurate.

  1. jesus god i hate this look. absolutely terrible and way out of the consistancy. accurate bust of a shitty model.

  2. Great hockey mask. And even though I didnt like the what he looked either, at least they got it right.

  3. The top two are pretty cool but the bottom one looks like a workman with a helmet on. Jason Takes Manhattan wasn’t the best but it deserves more credit than it gets.

  4. My favorite hockey mask from the entire series. LOVE IT!

  5. Yeah, i actually may like the Manhatten costume the best out of all of them. The best face is Savini’s Final chapter though. Have to throw on Manhatten tonight; been a while

  6. i think it looks great !

  7. Worst looking Jason face ever! Granted, it comes off the heels of Part 7 which had one of the best looking Jason faces ever…so maybe I am biased. But seriously, why couldn’t even try to keep it consistent?

  8. This has to be one of the best Jason masks I have seen. Jason was so misreable at the end of this movie, puking on himself and shit. You know the situation has to suck if Jason is puking on himself. I really liked this movie. I wish paramount had sold the rights to New Line, they just can’t get it right.

  9. The mask itself is amazing

  10. I liked the wet/slimey Manhattan look. They never kept Jason’s look consistent which gave some pretty cool interpretations of the characters by different costume designers and special effects artists.

  11. i totally agree with brian. the instant jason loses his mask, he just looks pathetic. yeah, im picky. and the ending, even the whole of this movie, leaves a bad taste in my mouth. that’s why i quit watching the series past 5. it completely loses it’s feel. i like the old scenes where you didnt get to see the killer hardly at all except for a few glimpses, but you did see the murder. it was much more horrifying and mysterious.

  12. Maybe if Jason always looked like that and he didn’t wear the mask, people would take sympathy on him and become easier targets. Seriously, he could set up a table outside your local Walmart or Target with a collection bucket, and when someone comes up, run him through with the machete. Collect the money first though.

Jason Voorhees: Con-Artist, Deformed, Hustler, Killer…

  13. pretty accurate mask…not my fave jason (not even close) but man if i was rich and had a huge room to store all this stuff, this would be mine.

  14. well i think the john carl face and mask were the best untill the 2026 version but i like the savini stuff too but its a toos up with the john carl and 2026.the part 8 one doesnt even rank.

  15. i meant toss up between

  16. the worst of all, part 3 & 4 were the best masks from the films. Jason takes manhattan should never have been made.

  17. Howdy! I just made a mash up trailer: DAVID LYNCH’S FRIDAY THE 13TH PART 5:

I am putting the link here because I couldn’t find a ‘contact the blog’ link…..

Hope that’s okay and that you like it!

  18. i really like this look he looks creepy especially that little scream he does when they throw toxic waste on his face creeps the hell out of me.

  19. It is a shame they didn’t have the money to film part 8 the way they want to film it. The majority if the movie was suppose to take place in NYC. I wish they had never even mentioned that fact. Damn monetary factors!

  20. I don’t know how to say something about the movie to the producer, so I guess I will say it here. THIS MOVIE IS VERY INNAPROPRIATE AND I AM 15 YEARS OLD AND I THINK I WILL BE SCARRED FOR LIFE BECAUSE OF THE NUDITY AND SEX ACTIONS. This is absolutely unexceptable and I should sue..If only I could. Jesus would not be pleased with this kind of behavior. PRODUCERS: Do you like poisioning the minds of American teens with this JUNK. I thought this was going to be a typical suspensful scary movie..but IT WASN’t. It wasn’t even scary at all…just discusting.

  21. I agree about the inconsistencies. Especially the missing machete wound to the left side of the face. That’s been missing ever since part 8. Afterward, he always had two eyes, instead of one. Pisses me off. Part 4 had the best Jason look.

  22. Does anyone else not realize that there is an axe cut in the mask other then me? in the movie jason gets a brand new one because he lost it in part 7 because it got split in half. this movies mask did not have it at all in the movie and therefore the mold is not as accurate as it could be. just thought id point that out.

  23. Jasons Buddy,
Sounds like you know the franchise pretty good. However, if you look at any of the photos, marketing material or re-watch Jason Takes Manhattan, you will see that there is indeed an axe mark in his hockey mask. Not becasue it is supposed to be the same mask from previous movies, but a bit of an homage to the previous mask and movies.

  24. why is it glistening so much? looks like the guy put lacquer on this thing.

  25. Love it, very good detail. And his face at the end….well it just looked like he had acid thrown in his face!

  26. Thanks for pointing that out tom Jasonsfury. i indeed looked and do stand corrected. do you know if that was intentional or were the director and producers trying to pull a fast one?

  27. Too bad they couldn’t pay homage to the other films by making Jason’s look conistent with where they left off in Part 7. It’s like saying, “Hey, I dont give a rats ass about the franchise but I am willing to put an axe mark on the mask so that you feel better about it.”

Thank goodness that despite Jason’s look in Manhattan, Part 8 is still the second best film of the original series. Part 2 is still #1 because of the Steve Miner/Warrington Gillette combo.

  28. Walmart Man,

I never thought about it that way but you are right. It’s pretty much pointless to pay any “homage” to the series with a gesture like an axe mark if you plan on reimagining just about everything else about Jason’s face.

I know each director had their own take on what was behind the mask but the difference between Part 7 and 8 is just so drastically different that it makes you wonder if its even the same Jason.

Also, why is it that time and time again Jason’s body is never recovered from the lake? Anyone here remember the days of better writing when they use to take a “supposedly dead” Jason to the morgue (Part 4) or bury him (Part 6)?

  29. Yeah he looks like shit in part 8. His clothing has mysteriously regenerated and some gloves have appeared. WTF. I always attributed it to his magical healing powers— he is starting to regenerate from a corpse back to a human in 8, and apparently he can will his clothing to re-stitch itself. Stupid writers!!

  30. Actually the only thing I like about part 8 is the rock and roll kills. Jason has a pretty head-banging sound track when he takes out the guitar chick and the asian chick… and “On the darkest side” is a great 80’s rock tune, cmon… :)

  31. Pretty horrific is you ask me, not horrific in the sense of bad, horrific in the sense of being frightening.

  32. Another continuity problem from Part 6 begins in 7 and carries over to 8. In 6 Jason had tan khaki pants (as he did in 3 and 4). In 7 and 8 it was a one-piece navy blue janitor\’s jumpsuit (or whatever you call it).

  33. Always hated the way they made his face & how they kept showing him as a little boy alot, retarded

  34. Junior Wadd,
The only “jumpsuit” worn in the series was not even worn by Jason at all. Roy wore a jumpsuit as he dressed up like Jason to go on his killing spree in A New Beginning. In Part 7 and 8 he was still wearing a shirt and pants. Although, in The New Blood you could hardly tell at all as he was decayed beyond belief. In Jason Takes Manhattan, you can see the untucked bottom part of his shirt in certain scenes.

  35. I didn’t like the flash backs either. All of that nonsense along with Renny seeing visions of him was clearly an attempt to keep up with the Nightmare series that had hammered the Friday series the previous year in 1988. If the producers and ROb Hedden would have done away with that and were able to get more time in New York, I think the movie would have been received much better.

  36. I always thought it was funny that Jason turned into a boy at the end of this film instead of a ninja turtle.

  37. I have a great idea.

I think that Rob Hedden should do a commentary track with the guys from Deadpit who posted their commentary for A New Beginning. Everytime an inconistency is pointed out, the Deadpit guys could smack Hedden upside the head and force him to explain why he made that particular mistake. Everytime a really stupid idea is pointed out (like the flashbacks), the guys from Deadpit could force him to drink a cup of really cheap beer. And for the finale, when Jason’s face is exposed in the sewer, the guys from Deadpit could just start kicking the shit outta this guy so that the final minutes of the commentary track and just filled with moaning and wimpering. I think that would be the best commentary track ever.

  38. I just bought this mask on ebay waiting for it to come in. Nightowl productions puts out a nice part 6 and part 7 mask as ask well. I didnt like the look of him in 8 but i had to add to my collection.

  39. I liked all of Jasons looks from part 6 and on. I think the more decayed he looks the better.
