Friday Conversation: What Sequel Story Would You Create?

By now, most fans are frustrated with the lack of progress of the sequel to the 2024 Friday the 13th reboot. There have been a couple of stories kicked around pertaining to the sequel and Brad Fuller has even confirmed that the script turned in by Damion Shannon and Mark Swift had part of the sequel not only set at a camp but also in part during the Winter season. Some of these ideas are what most fans have been yearning for. The idea of a somewhat old school Friday the 13th movie at a camp would be a dream come true for most fans.

As we all know, the franchise has had loyal followers for decades and those fans have had their own ideas of how a Friday the 13th movie should play out. Well, here is your chance to show off your ideas for the next sequel. Let us know what your ideal story for the next entry in the franchise would be and what elements of the production would be involved.

  1. i would make a unique version.filmmakers with handy cams go to crystal lake.like the blair witch project!that movie was intense and scary due to the fact of it feeling like a real life movie!paranormal activity did the same.if it was done right it would work.and it would be a fresh new concept on the friday the 13th movies!in my movie i would make an old man like ralf in it as well.warning them to stay away!twist near the end…when they end up in Jason’s lair…there is a picture of jason as a kid with his mum and dad(the crazy ralf man is his dad)!!!
alot of my money would be placed on advertisement and pre-launch hype!!!its a cheep way to make the movie,so you get that extra money to do those things!

  2. I would definateley choose a set-up like that of one of the first Friday movies. Put a lot of emphasis on the relationship between a sympathetic couple, thus making it terrible for the audience once they get chased and killed(?). I’ld also call the movie Friday The 13th Part 13, just make it a sequel.

  3. I agree with the first two posts. I’m not a huge fan of most the reality TV horror flicks (Halloween Ressurection-argh), but it could conceivably be done well and could be a breath of fresh air.

After watching part 3 recently, i got the feeling that maybe they need to ditch all the baggage and just have a good old fashion slasher flick. In part 3, the name Jason was never spoken. They should do that again. A random, faceless killer in a hockey mask(until the end of course, when they unmask that sucker). But, we all know who it is!

Possibly in 3D, but here is my idea. Release two versions. The R version, and for midnight showings… NC-17!!!! GIVE US THE BLOOD!

  4. I would set the story back at Camp Crystal Lake, but keeping with the winter idea as well. The camp would be used as a halfway house of sorts for people coming off of drugs and alchohol. Of course there would be those who cannot get the monkey off their back so there would be opportunities for showing more character fleshing-out during the film.

The film would also pick up right after the first one, with a manhunt for Jason Voorhees after Whitney escapes. he would ultimately be blamed for all the murders by the FBI since they don’t have a clue as to what the hell is going on there in New Jersey and the hunt for Jason subsides as Whitney was tried and imprisoned. After the heat dies down Jason resurfaces just as the camp is reopening right after the Thanksgiving holiday. This would provide some background visuals for the film as well as clever killing opportuinities with christmas decor.

This is alittle out of order but before Jason would resurface the caves he lived in would have been found by a few of the addicts and used as a place to get away and get high without being caught, at least not caught until Jason finds them in his dwelling.

Question: does it get cold enough in NJ to freeze the surface of a lake there? It’d give another creative killing opportunity if someoen had ice-skates, and a scare factor if he broke through the ice somehow and sometime during the film to catch someone out on the frozen surface of the lake.

My spelling’s aweful. I’m working while I type so my spelling/grammar is probably confusing…

  5. summer camp is the way to go. make it a working summer camp. lots of kids a small group of counsellors. make it look like a real camp during the summer. oh and what i really miss is a chase scene and the final girl going against the killer ALONE. no bf to help her out just her on her own against jason.

  6. I think they should do some type of CSI version where they investigate murders in camp crystal lake. They claim it’s a copy cat of jason voorhees because the name no longer exists. Come to fnd out he really exists and the squat and FBI go in there to get him and Jason is on the run. He could be like a fugitive or terroists or something always on the run but keep the reboot type style where he is like a hunter living off the land killing people. Also stick to the original friday the 13th concept. The FBI will offer a reward for anyone who could bring him in dead or alive. People will try to go after him but unsuccessful. Maybe later on in the movie they could catch him and take him to court and have a trial or guantanomo bay. He would actually have a lawyer defending him. Somehow we could get out of Jail though. Something to that affect

  7. I meant swat not squat lol

  8. A local girl disappears in the Crystal Lake area. The authorites investigate but find nothing. The search is called off, but local cop feels something is wrong. He keeps the case opened and interviews survivors, like Ginny, about what happened to them years ago. Perhaps even some of the cops that survived that witnessed the scenes after Jason’s rampages. The realization that Jason is out there becomes evident…

  9. I think Ive gave My idea for a sequal before on here. But I’ll try to summarize. In My sequal, it would pick up right where the remake left off. First Jason kills off Clay, but Whitney lives. And after questioning Her about the events of part 1, the FBI is sent in to investigate and find Jason. So in a way Hes kind of like a fugitive in this movie. However He has his hunter/survival skills from before, so its no easy task for the FBI. One by one Jason gets the drop on them doing what He does best. And the leader of the group is a badass who has the martial art skills of Jackie Chan or someone badass like that. Towards the end Jason and this person get into the greatest battle ever, and this dude gives Jason a run for His money. But of course Jason wins. I would also try and bring in previous actors that have played Jason for cameos like Ari Lehman, Kane Hodder, and even Betsy Palmer. Maybe also cameos of the survivors like Amy Steel and Adrienne King. And also Id bring back the old lady from the remake. She was the only one aware of Jasons presence, and She seemed to know that Jason wanted to be left alone, that outsiders dont know where to walk and bring trouble. I would make Her either Granny Voorhees, or Auntie Voorhees. And She would give more insight on Jason and the Voorhees family. I considered bringing in Jasons father Elias, but that should wait until part 3. As for how He dies, I havent decided. Maybe He’ll live leaving the door open for part 3. I would hope the Jason fans like My idea, thats just a summary of My kickass sequal. And it beats the snow idea. I mean seriously, Snow? That just sounds kind of boring to Me.

  10. My Jason movie would take place in the 80s. I’d have a group of teens going to Crystal Lake in hopes to relaunch it. One thing I would make sure to do is not show Jason until the last part of the movie. Some of Jason’s kills would be in the classic first person camera angle. Jason’s point of view. It’s cool to see just the weapon. I would throw in a reflection shot.of him here and there. I feel like the movie could use better actors too. I would bring back some actors from the previous films, they seem willing to do it.
As for the overall look of Jason. I’ve always wanted to seem him with a black Jacket. I’d keep everything else similiar to the reboot version. The mask would be a little cleaner looking.
I think the reboot missed out on bringing back some old characters. The story of my Friday the 13th would be based around Tommy Jarvis. My Tommy would be a 16 or 17 who makes masks and is a bit darker than normal kids. Jason would get his hockey mask from Tommy,.

If this had to be a sequel to the remake. It wouldn’t be in the 80s(obviously)but I would still bring back Tommy Jarvis. Maybe he could be Clay an Whitney’s cousin. It’s not that off the wall. Tommy could grow some obsession with finding out what happened at Crystal Lake.

  11. I say keep the snow, and the lake could be frozen over. So in one scene one of the main characters could be on the ice and Jason could busts threw the ice and grab them or something like that. And Whitney from the reboot could come running in on some of these kids hanging out at another cabin and shes warning them about Jason and they just sit there and think shes crazy. But then that night Jason comes so one big punk thinks he can take him so he goes outside, ends up getting killed, and that pretty much sends a message to the rest of the kids, so it all just goes crazy with Jason chasing them around, and killing them in different ways – (but more interesting then just running around). Thats sort of my idea of an alright sequal, so yeah keep the snow idea it’s actually a really good idea.

  12. It’s Winter.
A group of violent teenage offenders and their prison officers arrive at the former “Camp Crystal Lake” which has now been renovated and transformed into a training camp for young offenders where during the winter months they are to be put through rigorous survival situations in the hopes to reform their characters.
Later that night when one of the teenagers is found brutally slaughtered the prison officers, suspecting that one of the other teens was responsible for the murder, lock-down the camp til morning so that no one can attempt to escape. However very few live to see the light of dawn when a very territorial Jason Voorhees, who still resides in the caves beneath the camps surfaces picks them off one by one. Sealed in with no way out, it will take a high level of wit and intelligence if any of them are to survive this “Friday the 13th”.

  13. My idea of a sequel would basically be to keep Jason human just like in the reboot, and keep the surviving characters of the reboot, and try to fit them on a new story or kill them off at the beginning. Also I would try to incorporate the character of Tommy Jarvis or Chris Higgins in the sequel and why not set it in the snow as well.

  14. It def needs to be set in the 80’s, no cell phones, no ipods, no obnoxious rich kids. Take us back to when we cared for the characters. I mean everyone loved Annie in the first one and she wasn’t even in the film for 3 mins!(I didn’t go time it, so no need to say, your wrong, it was 3 mins and 24 sec!lol) Its because we learned alot about the character before she died. And please for the love of God, I am all about diversity, but can the next black character not have a chip on their shoulders! In the remake, he was I don’t even know what the word I am looking for was (maybe outcast) and Kelly Rowland really got on my nerves with her attitude. But almost the whole cast minus four of them got on my nerves in the remake. And the writers need to stop being lazy and actually write a good movie, not feed us this garbage and get rich at the box office. I want a f13 movie that I can watch, rewatch and watch again, like I do the old ones and never get tired of them.

  15. Intro…The police found the brothers (reboot sorbivors) dead and decapited, also found all the dead bodys. (Similar to intro f134). The police found the jason’s cave, and a elite squadron try to chase jason with gun power and dogs, Jason escapes from the cave time ago. Pass the time, now is winter, but only one police in department still chase him.
    I dunno something like that…

  16. In my sequel,it would be a little bit longer than most Fridays, around 2hrs or so…Anyways,we open when Jason was a kid at the camp and since its a reboot i say that Jason’s dad was having sex with a counseler, Jason sees whats going on and runs to the lake starts to drown calls for his mom(who is cooking for the kids)…later on his mom finds out whats going on with the father and kills him horribly ,but the teenager he was having sex with gets away and eventually has a baby..Tommy Jarvis..hows that so far??…

  17. I would open with a homage to part 4. Jason is laying on the dock where Clay and Whitney “left him” and the paramedics are trying to clean up the mess. The difference would be, instead of getting him anywhere, Jason would spring to life and kill everything moving on the scene. Messily.

I’d then switch to the new cast: a teenaged heroine is hiking to Augusta, carrying an old paper map. She’s had a falling out with her parents and is going to an aunt who once promised her a place in an old family stone-carving business, should she find herself in a bad situation. She catches a ride with a guy her own age and some of his college friends. They’re on their way to the town of Crystal Lake for some fishing, so they can only take her as far as the house they’re renting for their stay.

Which, alas, was once known as Higgins Haven.

As the fishers are settling in, the heroine thanks them and heads into the woods, realizing from her map she can take a lot of distance off her trip if she cuts through the old campgrounds. The sun is setting, so she pulls a flashlight out of her backpack…

And walks right into the dead bodies of the paramedics Jason killed at the beginning.

Meanwhile, at Higgins Haven, one of the campers thinks he sees something moving in the barn, and when the others don’t believe him, can’t resist going inside to see for himself…

What I would try to do is keep the timeline especially tight- that’s one of the things I liked about the early films. The whole thing would take place in the space of one evening with the “clock” starting as the heroine finds the bodies at sunset and ending the next morning. Through the night, Jason would ruthlessly pick his way through the fishers as the heroine stumbles onto his cabin and picks up snippets of his history as she tries to find her way back in the dark to warn them (since, you know, Crystal Lake has such horrid reception she can’t call them).

I’d end with a lengthy Final Girl sequence after the others are dead (and they would ALL die. Messily. No “bonus survivors” here – just bonus death scenes), where both Jason and the heroine absorb some real damage. I don’t think Jason needs to be taken down with epic fireworks (in fact, since the heroine’s a stonecarver, maybe she could stab him in the head with a chisel), but I would like the heroine’s final attack on him shot like Ginny’s machete, or Chris’s axe, where you just *knew* this attack was going to put him down for awhile.

Also, while I’ve spoken of the hiker as the Final Girl casually, I’d make sure on the screen, her survival doesn’t seem like a sure thing at all. In fact, by sending her into the woods, I’d try my best to make it look like she was going to be the first one down, and I’d bring Jason into her path as often as I could get him back to camp. I’d add several likely-looking heroes to the cast and confuse the “slasher morality” by giving *everyone* both a big, crippling flaw that would normally “mark them for death” and a few decent traits that would normally put them in the safe zone, to try to capture the “anyone can die” feeling of the old films.

  18. Whatever the story would be, who cares? As long as it was filmed at Camp No Be Bo Sco and in Blairstown, NJ and Hope, NJ. Just like the original.

  19. well i hav seen every friday the 13th movie and loved all of them (saddly i do not lik jason goes to hell and jasonx) how I would mak a friday the 13th movie? hav it in the 80s point of view of course jason is a guy in the 80s not in present day. its suppose to be an old lik story. film it where it all began in blairs town nj camp nobebosco now its called but in 1980 it was, camp crystal lake where the 1st movie was shoot. for looks well most of the tim someone some how takes his mask off i think the special effects was a work of art with part 7 new blood. the way his skeleton was showing and his face was a master peice and kane hodder did an amazing job with jason…im sorry but derek ur not jason but u looked the part but kane hodder really went out in style! for a plot? hmmm looking at it i mean i cant say one movie was better then the other. i love them all so i would somw how tak parts of each one. hav its own twist ya know? now im not sayin lik ummm how bout we tak this this and this and throw them together no no no idk watch the movies in order. its all history. hav all those wonderful tims in it and peice them together. maybe go behind som stories get deeper into jason som how. really mak it historical hahah! i would hav to sit down and really look at them all and see how it would all play out….that would be an awsome movie hahah!
for castin? everything counts. hav ppl that would som wat get on ur nerves mak u thinkin “com on jason please kill them!” hahah i will be watchin a movie and see meself saying tht! also seeing all the other movies i would make it a happy ending in my case and hav jason win for once! he’s always gettin his ass kicked and a machete to the face, lite on fire, chained to the bottom of the lake and so on but just one tim have jason win hav him kill every last person and him finally being at peace for once. thts all he really ever wanted, was to be left alone yet ppl keep comin back and annoying him to no end. hahaha! and of course my favorite part, the deaths! the body counts r always my favorite part! hav more memorial kills thts wat jason is known for. his camp, his machete, his hockey mask and his way of tht good old kill. ex. the cork screw/cleaver to face kill part 4, the bed folded in half kill freddy v.s jason, the smack on the tree kill part 6, and many many more man! too many to count! haha! also iv been hearing a lot of ppl complaining sayin they want som jason v.s micheal action…but in reality saddly they will never mak it 1 and 2 they know it and u know it that jason would win or it would be a stalemate. now i guess it would be cool i have to say i mean i HATE freddy with a passion and i loved it wen jason DESTROIED freddy and yes it would be nice for a little change in things but saddly it will never happen. now i know this will never happen either but it was in the comics, Jason .vs Leatherface now thts geniues! hah! but yet again it will never happen seeing how leatherface, texas chainsaw massacre is based off a real story and jason isnt it wouldnt work out.
also i must bring this to the table…..a good friday the 13th game!! thats wat we all want! the nes game wasn’t tht good and a game is somthin tht i hav had in mind for so long! it would be great to hav tht now on xbox360 or somthin! u being able to play out 2 dif. story lines, jason and the teen. it would be lik the sims if u hav a teen u mak ur character play out stuff at the camp and survive the attack on jason and try to tak him down. of course being u hav ur characetr the computer would hav characters already instaled in the camp, all bein from dif parts of each movie. hav tommy from parts 4,5,and 6, hav tina the telekinetic girl in from part 7 and all the other memorable victims of course most would die and if u want to save som then som shall liv but it will com down to u survin or diein by jasons machete and u would play as jason himself! go around set trapps stalk ppl kill ppl in creative ways! sneak into houses pick locks steal items from the cabins hide bodies and all that good stuff! of course with jason there would be boss levels lik having to fight off tina and her mind tricks or tryin to find a victim runnin away from u! u would pick locks and mak as less noise as possible, sneak around and set things up! now that would be a great game! haha but other then a game, back to the movie hahah!
for music hav lik in part 6 alice cooper’s man behind the mask playing in the back ground on the radio or somthin its a tune that i enjoy and lov to hear and i bet many others do to. the old classic music is awsome and i really wouldnt change it along with tht kick ass, chchchchahahahahchchchahahah….lov it! givs ya chils somtimes!
for an endding of course mak it sooo epic tht it will hav ppl sayin “HOLY S**T!!” out of scaredom and amazment of course and hav a cliff hanger tht may be an opening for yet another friday the 13th!
For as long as ur calender says Friday The 13th…Jason Voorhees will hav his day!

  20. I always wanted to make a Friday the 13Th that went back to the root of exploring the pain of untimely death. I might make it as a fan film. In my story, it opens as a father is driving in his car with his daughter. Jason runs across the road, just like in Part 2, but you hardly see or know it was him. The car swerves to miss him and crashes. The daughter is decapitated by the seat belt. I remember hearing of this happening on, I think, Opera. I remember the person describing how he or she cradled the head in their hands and I remember how awful and bad that made me feel. People buckle up their children to keep them safe, but, at least ones, it killed them. This goes back to the root of untimely and unwarranted death. It also reprises the decapitation theme in an intimate and personal way. This would also be an unintentional kill by Jason, something different. The father, as it will be revealed as the movie goes along, had been divorcing his wife and this death just pushed it along faster. But he didn’t want to leave.

I view, as at least one other has, that Pamela was trying to resurrect Jason through blood sacrifice rituals. This would explain the Necronomicon in Part 9 and why she displays the bodies in an almost ceremonial way. It would also explain why Jason created an alter of his Mother’s head and brings the dead body’s to it, to try to bring her back. Which is why he keeps killing and why he was able to be deceived three times by people looking like his Mother.

The Father becomes obsessed with Jason, because he sees it as a way to bring his daughter back. Part of the tragedy (form of drama) of Friday the 13Th is that as Pamela tried to bring her boy back the wrong way, through dark spells, she had made him into a monster. Much the same as how in Part 7 the refusal to accept that death has happened and move on is what brought Jason back.

The Father buys the dilapidated properties of the Voorhees house and the camp to try to find the Necronomicon so as to bring back his daughter. He stages it as it he’s trying to bring back the camp for the kids, and hires on a new slew of counselors. He hires also a Native American to be the camp guide and train the counselors. I had always been upset that Native American Spirituality has never been explored in the films before. One of the comics connects a curse to Camp Crystal Lake, actually. The franchise is really crying out for a strong Native American character.

I find that there is a Spiritual awakening, and that many in this culture of materialism are thirsty for something of substance. That is why I want this movie to also be a story of redemption. I want to show a Native American who had become modernized and forgotten his heritage. He comes to the camp for a job. However, even he feels that it’s right to warn the counselors of the history of the camp.

He gathers them together and tells the story of what happened here, similar to Paul in Part 2. I also wanted adult characters, as that is important to Friday the 13Th. As the movie progresses, the guide realizes that the Father is looking for something and not just surveying the camp. Subtle comments begin to reveal his true intentions.

The counselors had been led to die as a blood sacrifice. Killed by Jason to resurrect the Fathers’ daughter. He finds his book, and leads the guide back to a secluded cabin where the Daughter’s body (at has been through years of decay) is laid out for the ritual.

The counselors, who mostly exist for a body count, (it is Friday the 13Th after all) begin to piece together that the camp is no-where close to ready and that they start to figure out they really shouldn’t be here as they unearth remnants of what happened. I plan to develop these characters better later.

The Guide is deeply shocked and tries to talk sense into the Father. He explains how he’s making the memory of his Daughter into a monster and that she won’t be brought back the way he remembered her this way. The Guide, as he slowly realizes that what is happening here is real, tries to talk the Father into helping to undo his mistake before it goes any further and get the kids out. The Father has a mental break down, and just keeps saying that there’s no way out now. And that they do not know what they are up against. The Guide tries to explain that this is exactly why the Father needs to lead them. But it is too late, and the Father shoot himself in the head.

The Guide rushes back to the cabins to try to warn the others. Jason, through out this time, has killed most of them already. The last two, a young man and woman, are killed just before the Guide gets to them.

In a moment of revelation, the Guide is set back to see Jason in the flesh. To know that the evil, the evil that has survived death and come back, is flesh and blood before him. He then goes through a dodge and chase and hide with Jason. Trying to figure out how to get out alive.

He finds a tomahawk and buries it into Jason’s head, through his mask as a surprise attack, like Chris did in Part 3. But Jason does not die. He tackles Jason to the ground and nails him to the floor with tent stakes. Trough his cloths and through his flesh. But Jason begins to pull himself up through the stakes.

The end is similar to Part 7. The Spirit of the Daughter manifests before the Guide and overshadows Jason. She binds floor and the Guide incites incantations (better word for this in this instance? Prayer?) he was taught as a child and carves an image into the floor to bind Jason there. The Daughter rises out of Jason, and Jason’s life leaves him. She turns around and looks at the Guide and smiles in thanks, thank departs.

Jason is dead, for now… The daughter’s spirit is free from the darkness her Father was attaching to it, and the Guide has rediscovered Spirituality.

I think, if done right, it would make for an interesting movie. The kill scenes should be done the way they were in the early Friday the 13Ths, as well as the pacing and lighting. It should really focus on the camp and forest surroundings, and be very calm outside of the killings. No quick cuts and no so bumpy you can barley see.

The kills should be more about the untimely death of young people, not the gore itself or any one liners. It should be simple, even petite.

  21. Ok, here’s my idea. Have it open with Jason in the barn (the dock scene was just a dream). Clay and Whittney are trying to go home the morning after. Jason is still alive, of course, and hunts them down and kills them. Credits. Then open up with Alice Hardy-Jarvis (since she didn’t die in the remake, and played by Adrinne King). She’s still haunted by what happened 30 years ago, so her thearipist reccomennds she goes back to Crystal Lake to proove nothing can harm her. She takes her daughter, Trish, and her son, Tommy, with her. (Her husband, Mr. Jarvis, is dead/left them/whatever.) And of course, aa group of high schoolers rent the cabin next door. Jason finds out about them, and the slaughter begins. Alice survived Mrs. V, now she’ll have to face her son. And how will Tommy react to Jason?

  22. Oh yea, and one of them puts an axe in Jason’s head. I miss the trademark axe mark.

  23. My idea would start with Jason’s hand coming up from the water and grabbing what’s left of his mask. Then the murders start up.

This way it could be a sequel to the reboot or a sequel to the originals (mask floating away in JTM; or the reboot).

I would not give away where he is. He just starts walking into wooded areas. Then the murders start up. It’s like he has a destination but that won’t become a focus and he’ll end up at the infamous camp eventually. There he’ll die (maybe, depends on the gross :) ) at the hands of a new or former character.

This chapter would strip down things back to basics. And it won’t have a bunch of rich assholes that you don’t care about anyway. It’ll be darker and with Harry doing the score of all scores…make it sound like Friday again.

The humour (although slight) would be darker as well. Make it a thunderous and rainy night. And let’s not populate it with fake breasts…the originals really weren’t boob crazy. I want it more 80’s with Tom Savini doing the gore.

And some victim POV kills would have to happen.

I could go on but those would be my main goals.

    …kill her Mommy…

  24. I like some of the ideas here with keeping an 80s vibe. An idea I used for the comic book contest a while back could work as well. It would pick up immediately after JTM. The police are cleaning up Jason’s havoc, and they find a boy in the sewers, a burned hockey mask floating nearby. One of the officers on the scene was a police officer in Crystall Lake during the early installments of the series so he’s familiar with the hockey mask.

Well, the boy has amnesia but is hyper-violent, so he’s taken in and placed in a home for troubled children. He’s under psychological supervision because of his behavior. Again, he has amnesia, but he’s often frequented by memories of his past. Murder ensues, yet nothing was ever proven that he is the murderer.

Upon his eighteenth year he’s released into the real world. His memories are constantly coming back and he runs across the burned hockey mask somehow, maybe by the officer who knew of Jason has the mask. He could take him to the lake in New Jersey to show him where everything happened and that triggers the memories to come back and start the killings again.

  25. These posts are fantastic! One point that seems to come up is slow the killings down a bit. Today’s speed does little to create tension for the kill but rather tries to trick us into thinking what we just saw was scary. Anyway…

I had two concepts for sequels. First, the plot could go back to the time between Mrs. Voorhees’ first camp murders and Part One. There are many years between this time that could be created into separate plots and massacres around each Friday the 13th date. If Lucas can fill in 20 years of Clone Wars between films, then surely Jason and his mother can too ;)

But ultimately, my favourite sequel concept was to have the most popular actors come back to “Crystal Lake” to film a documentary because of a F13 anniversary. The actors could play their supposed star personaes and have fun with it. Think Kevin Bacon and even Corey Feldman!

Suddenly, the actors start being slaughtered in similar ways to the films they were in. A new Jason is born and they must figure out how to stop this chain reaction. Who is the new killer? What’s his motive?

This draws some similarities to ‘Scream’ and ‘A New Nightmare’ films but could be even more clever. The plot could dive into the realm of the surreal (as did many of the dream sequences in the early films). Maybe this new killer is actually a “Jason” who is born from the collective consciousness of fans, writers and producers. An icon that actually manifests into a real being. An unstopable killer that is set loose into the world! How this happens can logically be explained with noetic science…

  26. This is an idea I’ve had since the late 80s.

Friday The 13TH – The Hunt For Jason

The film starts with a montage of the better kills from the series as the camera goes black. Wait not black but has that blinding flash from the earlier films it then refocuses in present day at what appears to be a support group. As the camera moves in you see the remaining survivors from all of the movies. They are not holding up well especially after Alice disappeared.

After realizing that they must confront and destroy Jason or they will never feel truly safe, they set out on a mission to rid themselves of the nightmares.

It could start in the winter time as he might be easier to track in the snow. Depending on how far you want to take the crossover stuff maybe Ash could be the one in charge of the support group.

  27. @killhermommy, the first idea has good potential, but the second idea would be fantastic! What if the character of Jason and Pamela were in fact real people that Victor Miller knew personally, and Pamela had in fact been thought of the killer of so many people but never convicted because of a lack of evidence.

Angry that her and her son’s lives have been made into slasher movies she takes the opportunity of having the actors and other principles in one place to off them all.

  28. Wow rick, we both have the same idea what part 12 should be. We even almost have the same subtitles, mine was jason’s last hunt.

I would add on that camp crystal lake is now a winter resort and that there are lots of other people there too! Not just the survivors.

One of these new people would be a greedy business man, who gets his in the end.

I would leave out ash, since he has nothing to do with the friday the 13th series. But how would you feel about adding doctor neil gordon from the nightmare on elm street series, trying to help out the survivors with there problems.

As for the survivors, i would bring back all the ones from parts 2 to 8. But there are some i would leave off, like the ones from part 5. As well as both tommy and megan. I feel that tommy’s story has been told, so i see no reason for him to come back. Now his sister on the other hand, i think she should come back in the next one, because she wants to clear tommy of the murders that happen in forest green. Some people still think that tommy did the killings and that’s why trish is there.

I would also bring back adrienne king to play angela hardy who is of course the twin sister of alice hardy.

Oh by the way i think your subtitle is better then mine, they should go with the hunt for jason.

  29. I’d have it start off after Jason popped out of the water with Whitney waking up in a hospital screming (like Alice in the original 1980) and have her learn her brother is dead, but she was still alive but cannot remember what had happened to Clay. I’d have her learn of course the police didn’t find Jason then begins her quest to warn people of Crystal Lake and keep ones from going there, but alas a Camp is starting up near Crystal Lake and while that is going on Jason goes on a killing spree with Whitney trying to help the new camp people from sitting up new victims for Jason. During all of her efforts Jason keeps picking people off and soon he sees her and tries to think again its his Mother coming back for him again. Of course we also see the new Camp owners and employees all don’t believe her story of what happened to her, her brother and the other kids thinking she dreampt it up to keep their camp from becoming a reality cause they wanna make money and her sturring up Jason stories is not helping. Also throw a few familiar actors into this movie so to add more ticket sales to the movie plus even new and classic kills for this film to add to the mix. More blood, gore and lots of sex would help, but leave out the drugs cause thats getting so old its growing grey hairs just thinking about it.

  30. My idea of the sequel would be that Clay and Whitney left Jason in the barn and left for help, thus the end scene from the reboot was a dream. When the police arrive Jason is gone and the chipper thing is still running with blood all over it so the assume that he was pulled in. So they think he is dead. Then set it one year later with Clay and Whitney returning to the scene to try to get closure on all her nightmares from the ordeal only to find out that Someone has bought the campsite and is reopening it. As they leave Whitney has Clay stop by the old house where her bf died. Clay tells her to wait in the car and goes in to check out the house only to be surprised by a plotting much angrier Jason waiting for him. When he doesn’t come out Whitney gets worried and goes to the front door only to have Clays body hurrled at her through the door. While she tries to get the body off her she looks up to she a familiar hockey mask staring down at her and a machette flying at her face. Thus Jason is back. He would then begin to plot the demise of the new staff assembled to repair the camp. You could go with the snow thing only if they are fixing the inside of the cabins and stuff. I cant see a camp open with kids or people fixing the outside in the winter. He could kill them one by one from cabin to cabin until you have an awesome chase and fight for your life scene at the end in the snow covered forest and lake.

  31. @TheRustyMachete

Cheers! I like how you managed to tie it all together… that would be a fantastic twist! :D

  32. How about something to the effect of those Jersey Shore kids meet Jason…and finally kill them off for good…

But seriously…Wintertime setting…have some deer hunters come into the camp tracking a wounded deer and Jason hunts them instead…That could be the opening scene..

Then find something to the effect of a teenage Christmas party happening somewhere on the lake…and because the teenagers are not being responsible doing drugs having sex all the usual situations…
But have one scene maybe where there is a hockey game going on on the lake and Jason “pops” in at one of the goals (maybe have a “small blizzard” on the ice to obscure the vision of the players…The guy tries to score a goal on where jason is standing and Jason chokeslams him through the ice into the freezing water..
Then jason could pick up the puck and chuck it at another player and hit them square in the mouth…making them choke on the puck.

  33. Bring it on Baby

  34. Make a film as if the reboot never happened. Just go classic, bring back the classic Jason, just the one we saw in parts 3 and Final Chapter. Forget the machete thing!!!! and give him an axe!

Set the story in Crystal Lake. I agree too about setting the story in the 80’s: no cell phones and all that stuff (just like the film “The House of the Devil” did, although being shot in 2024 it seems like been made in the 80’s!!)… so, go classic with Friday sequel!, go 80’s!!

Leave one single girl at the end of the movie. There must be a final chase between her and Jason. A face to face sort of thing.

Another good option would be bring back Corey Feldman as Tommy Jarvis…

Go classic. Follow the first four movies, they are the formula.

And of course, bring back Harry Manfredini’s score!!
