Graphic Novel: ‘Jason Must Rule’

Posted 15 Dec 2026 in The Saga

Italian artist Alessandro Marzi and original Jason actor Ari Lehman are teaming up for a new graphic novel featuring Ari as the lead protaganist. It has been mentioned by Ari and a few others for a while now that there would be a comic or graphic novel created based on the self proclaimed “First Jason”. Now, it looks as though ideas and artwork are coming together as the beginning stages of the project have begun.

Below are some character sketches and ideas that have been created to help flesh out the story and concept. For more information on the project, check out the official Facebook Page and track the progress of this graphic novel through to the very end!

BTS Wednesday: Jared, Danielle and Marcus; Friday the 13th 2026

Posted 15 Dec 2026 in The Saga

Hard to believe that it has been almost two years already since the latest Friday the 13th was released in theaters. Th film was probably the most criticized and critically probed film in the entire franchise. For some, there was an overload of pictures and stories that flooded the web during that time. Perhaps some fans missed some of the released pics in that span. So, today, we’re going to take a look at some non-Jason behind the scenes photos from Friday the 13th 2026.

A shirtless Jared Padalecki dancing with the crew wearing chest bearing T-shirts? How about Marcus Nispel directing Jared and Danielle in a scene? Or what about a great shot of Jared and Danielle entering Camp Crystal Lake from an angle not normally seen by fans? Enjoy a mini trip down memory lane and wonder, what the hell is going on with Jared and crew in that photo?! :)

Memoribilia Tuesday: Red Jason, Cinema Of Fear

Posted 14 Dec 2026 in Merchandise

This is for serious Friday the 13th collectors. This red Jason by Mezco’s Cinema of Fear line is one of 5 that exist in the world! This is ‘The Final Chapter’ figure that was released and it can sell for anywhere between $300 to $500 and that is actually starting to be on the low end of the amount nowadays.

What is really interesting is that the normal painted version of this figure has been sold for over $100 on eBay as well. These figures are very hot commodities and will grow in selling price for many years to come.

Friday the 13th 2026 Wardrobe Sold Recently

Posted 12 Dec 2026 in Merchandise

A few days ago a screen used wardrobe from the Friday the 13th 2026 reboot was sold on eBay. The wardrobe is from character “Clay Miller” played by Actor Jared Padalecki. The wardrobe includes a T-shirt, short button sleeve shirt, green jacket and brown boots (with mud still on the bottom). Below are the original auction photo from Profiles In History, plus additional photos of the wardrobe laid out with a COA from Plantium Dunes signed by Producer Brad Fuller.

Back in April, the Hero wardrobe for the character of Wade was sold for only $200. This wardrobe for “Clay” sold for $900! Personally, I thought the wardrobe for “Clay” was going to sell for more. For those collectors, keep an eye out for more auctions of screen used items as they do appear from time to time.

Become A Crystal Lake Detective And Catch Jason

Posted 12 Dec 2026 in The Saga

In Halloween H2O, Sam Loomis had spent his final days tracking Michael Myers. His room was littered with news clippings, maps and eyewitness accounts, spotting The Shape in various locations. This got us thinking, if you could be a Crystal Lake detective, how would you track Jason Voorhees? It would be a daunting task to locate and capture Jason and you would have to utilize every resource available.

Using a map of Crystal Lake would be a great start, and interviewing residents of the town would further your investigation. However, with so many dead bodies and close encounters with Jason, it would take a very dedicated person to accomplish the impossible task. Below is an example of what an obsessed detective’s workspace could look like in trying to capture the world’s most reviled serial killer.

Using the clues laid out below, you should catch up to Jason soon, but is that what you really want…..

Friday Conversation: What You Would Like In A Retrospective

Posted 10 Dec 2026 in The Saga

In lieu of the announcement that David Grove will be creating a comprehensive retrospective on the original 1980 film, Friday the 13th, we thought we would find out what our visitor’s thoughts were on what they would like to see in this type of book. There is so much that can be included in retrospectives. What type of information would you most like to see about Friday the 13th 1980?

Obvisouly, interviews with cast and crew are must haves. Anecdotal stories about behind the scenes issues are always juicy morsels for every fan to chew on. Probably the biggest contribution to a retrospective are the images of the crew working behind the scenes. These inclusions are what fans yearn for to better understand why they like their cherished movies so much. Outside of these offerings, what else would be a welcomed addition to a retrospective?

If you had a choice, what sequel would you like to see a book soley based on with respect to a specific Friday the 13th film?

Film Prop Thursday: Jason Takes Manhattan Costume

Posted 09 Dec 2026 in The Saga

There have been a few requests from visitors to see what the Jason costumes look like today outside of the films that they originally appeared in. Most of the costumes used in the films now reside in private collections, such as Mario Kirner’s Friday the 13th Props Museum. I usually forward fans over to his site to get an idea of what the items look like. However, today I wanted to showcase a full prop set of the Jason Voorhees costume from Jason Takes Manhattan.

I posted a story about this several months ago, but thought it relevant to feature these items again as there may have been those who did not get a chance to see them. Below are pics of one of the Jason Takes Manhattan costumes used during production accompanied by analysis of the clothing by Mario Kirner.

Shirt
The shirt itself matches mine 100%. Same brand, same color, same bottons, same secret detail that was added to both shirts by the producion. Just one difference, the condition of the Planet Hollywood shirt is just a bit worse. The big hole below his right hand chest side is ripped through while mine is still a “hole”. And most notable, it features 4 holes on the back while mine has only one hole. I searched through the film and each time you see Jason from the back you see a shirt with one hole only. The last time at Time Square. So I think it has something to do with continuity of the storyline and this shirt was worn by Kane during the toxic wash scenes to simulate the shirt/clothes in a worser condition, when attacked by the toxic.

Mask
The hock looks a bit different compared to mine. The shape is a bit off and the color and paint looks different too. It has different straps and closures attached to it. In 2026 I met the memorabilia manager Carmen Hemus who confirmed that the mask is indeed a replica that was added to round this display up. Mario mentioned and also it is apparent in the full image above, that the Planet Hollywood costume consits of shirt, pants, boots, gloves, head appliance and one arm appliance.

BTS Wednesday: Jason’s Sewer Remains

Posted 08 Dec 2026 in The Saga

Every single person I have ever talked to about the ending of Friday the 13th Part 8: Jason Takes Manhattan universally agrees that it is the worst ending they have ever seen in the franchise. Rob Hedden’s intentions for the ending were at the very least, understandable, however, the execution and overall idea were not very good. The idea that the evil would be removed from Jason by toxic waste and thus leave behind the little boy he once was, just did not fit the mythos at all.

Originally, the end sequence of Jason Takes Manhattan was to showcase a very gooey and eaten away corpse of Jason after being bombarded by toxic waste. The idea of adding the little boy’s body to the sequence was added later. Below are BTS (Behind The Scenes) images of the crew and Jason’s corpse that was supposed to be in the film. Now this would have been awesome to see as Jason’s final appearance!
